This engine can be mapped to gain a further 90bhp. Currently own 2018 model and thoroughly enjoy driving my 530e thousands of miles. Fuel ranges from 300 to 450 miles per tank depending how often you charge it. Battery range is anything from 16 to 22 miles on electric only mode. Hybrid side is OK with some additional miles added to range. Make sure you spec reverse camera and electric seats. Statistics are 0-62 in 6.1 secs which is quick for such a large car.
That's where I am getting into the game. Got a 2021 530e with M package at 38k miles for 29.999 and it is certified by BWM with extended warranty. Very very close to pull the trigger.
That's why I waited 😎 got a 2021 with M Package and nightshade black out trim for with 25k miles $32000 certified. Never go for a brand new car. The moment you drive off the lot, you've already lost $10k lol
How’s it going since ? I’m getting a 6 month old in a few weeks. I haven’t even driven one, but Import taxes into Ireland mean that it makes sense v’s a diesel. I’ve had many 520d’s and even a 530d but think it’s time for something different. My only concern is the 20 inch alloys but I understand it had the adaptive suspension. In a 320d touring 2021 at mo so will miss estate but looking fwd to getting back into a 5
It’s an M-Sport Pro spec as standard Msport doesn’t have the black accents on grille surround etc I’ve just ordered a white one to be delivered in April 21😎 The demonstrator I drove (identical to this) I managed to get nearly 30 miles on electric only
Good old Clee Hill just up the road from me, not taken my M530e up there yet, I am wondering how it will perform when theres ice on the road and a bit of that White stuff, I think it will be a little bugger being 2 wheeldrive.
its a stunning road! the hill will trash your electric range though! I took my one series up there last year in snow and it was very interesting indeed 🤣🤣🤣 good fun though ;)
@@drivelife.channel I have driven up/over there when the snow was as deep as the bonnet of my Range Rover, that was fun, stopped off for a drink at the pub and they didnt beleive we had driven from Kidderminster, after a while we set off back home and got stuck in a snow drift at Heightington that was fun too. And I still got the old RR Classic from 1974 but it needs someTLC now havent used it in probably the last 20years just sat there waiting for me to pluck up the courage.
Its very low power so you wouldn't see it in the day, its very subtle but amazing at night! Got a new 4 series review coming soon so I will show the new BMW ambient lighting in that video 😁
I already ordered mine. It's a shame that Bmw won't include wireless charging in mine, although I chose the option for that. something about production issues, they said. It’s a really nice car
@@drivelife.channel thank you very much for the answer, Im thinking about getting it for my Daily but I couldnt find any other info about fuel than BMW's, I appreciate it :)
I took delivery of my M530e 10 weeks ago and as yet have not put any fuel in it, charge it every night and away we go to the shop in the morning, the engine has NOT even started once so all my commuting to work and back is on electric which I reckon costs me about 30 to 50p a night, nothing like the X6 or the 2 X5s I had, fuel gobblers but very good towing the sons race car which he's sold so down graded to this motor.

What is your average mpg looking to buy a 2018/19
what is the gasoline consumption in combined driving with electricity and what is the range in combined driving?
The depreciation on this lovely car is enormous!!

Great review ! Lovely car, nicely styled only gripe is boot space and fact BMW don't have split folding seats as standard.
Beauty spot 2 appears in the first Johnny English movie?
“Everything in order English?”
Really enjoyed your review. I bought one few days ago for collection March 2nd. On test I couldn’t tell when I changed from electric to petrol.

@@drivelife.channel the only problem is I’ve got to wait until April!🤨
It will.be worth the wait ;) it will fly by 😁
@@richb326 any deals going?
@@Medea007 mine is a lease car, but isn’t cheap per month!
Has fhe hybrid sustem changed from the 2018 model?
Great review very informative and well presented. Might have to upgrade my 520i M Sport cheees
I wish they sold the Touring variant in the US. But I suppose they don’t want to compete with their SUV market. Sigh.
Isn’t the battery empty when you’re driving?
My dad got the same car. It’s looks so magnificent and is so good overall
Hi, do both exhaust work? On mine, just the left one works. I can se the flap on the right one tho, but how do I activate both?
Very good review ! I preordered the new 2021 530e ! do you have any idea if I can start the car and move it with the display key ?
Thank you! I have no idea to be honest! I have never used a display key!
@@drivelife.channel Ok, Thanks !
Im Buying this car after new year , i cant fucking wait 🤤
It is gorgeous ;)
@@drivelife.channel oh yes, all of my friends are jealous already since Im only 20 years old😂

How about battery issue in 2021 530e?
In my country, they said it is already fixed. But I don’t know

Was fine in light snow, obviously drove slower than normal. Not tested in heavy snow on the ground yet!
Hmm you definitely lose boot space by over 100L
Do you recommend 530i , 530D or 530e?
530d! if you do long journeys that is! if not the 530e is the best option :)
Did this car have Ambient Lighting? I couldn’t see it
Yes all over the place! lovely place to be 😁

Leg room should be better than this. Even accord has more space in the back.
Hey what's the fuel consumption?
I averaged around 50mpg :) most of that was done after the car had run out of charge! before that I was getting nearly 90mpg!!

Nice Car, but heated seats are 5k optional extra on a 50K car ridiculous!
Heated front seats are standard on all models.
What colour is it?
Phyocite Blue
Phytonic blue
Are you sure that’s not Tanzanite Blue?
Yes, it is Phytonic blue. I checked by myself at a car dealer.
0-60 is 5,9 tho
Anyone hear that scream at 1:28 or 1:29
those were tire noises !
OWL......
Tire screech

Its slightly heavier, 500kg 😂🤦♂️
Close enough ;)
not 500kg, but 200
BULLSHIT!!! 2,5 tons is 600 kg more than the car weighs WITH X-drive. I have one and it weighs 1865 kg with 4 wheel drive
What colour is that?
Tanzanite blue or smthing
