    Just bought a Six-16 for a friend as a gift, same functionality except the buttons etc are in different spots. Regardless, I didn't know what the buttons did and your video explained it so thank you!

    I have a Brownie Target Six-20 made by Kodak Canada that appears to be in relatively good shape. I'm having trouble however in getting it to open.I followed your simple directions but after pulling up on the top lever it refuses to slide out. I don't want to force it and am wondering if you have any suggestion as to what might be preventing it from opening. Thanks.

      I see that this comment was posted a year ago, but maybe this can still help- make sure to pull out the advance winder on the side.

    thanks, that helped a lot! next question, how do you tell if the film has been used? I found a Brownie Junior 620 and it has a rolled up 620 film roll in bottom roll, so im guessing it's used. is there anyway to tell apart from developing it?

    • @ncsmith1952
      @ncsmith1952 5 років тому

      The unused film is on the top reel, and it is wound onto the bottom reel. There is no guarantee that it was used, since the owner might just have wound it on without stopping to take pictures, but it would be best to assume that it is used.

    My real question now is how the backing paper of 120 film will line up in my 6-sixteen junior (I got adapters). We shall see!

    Thank you, never would have figured it out without instructions. Wanted to take it apart out of curiosity but I was afraid I'd break it and I just bought it for a conversation piece anyway. Do people still use these things? I just thought that no one sold or developed film anymore.

      You can buy film online and there are still places to develop it but you can develop it yourself and it’s cheaper to do it that way

  • @MonteLeeMyPOV

    I moved into a house and they left a vintage 620 behind. I dont know if,it works but if i can get film for it, where do you develope it?

    • @Evinyme
      @Evinyme 4 роки тому +1

      My best suggestion is to modify a 120 roll to fit or to buy an adapter to use a 35mm roll. As for developing, look online to send out the roll (you may need to send the entire camera with the film inside). You could try to develop it yourself at home too with a bit of research.

      @@Evinyme Thank you! I wonder if its worth the extra effort.

      Look for FAK 616 ( green one) it will adapt the 120mm film to fit the camera

      Hi Madeleine, try rotating it counter-clockwise / anti-clockwise while lightly pulling it out. Dieter does this in the video as well. You can put it back in by rotating in the same direction while pushing.

      You can modify the 120 to fit the 620 with a spool

    • @ckj324
      @ckj324 3 роки тому

      Shop online for something called a FAK616 ( the green one). You use it to attach to a roll of 120mm film which you can still buy online.

    Seem like they would be rare and expensive. Mine is differewernt than yours a little I think its a little older or possibly newer I dont know where to find out the exact cameras and which correspond to which years although it is a SIX-20, it looks different.

      I see them on ebay for 30 - 60 dollars more or less plus shipping, but unless you really need the money I'd hang on to it as an interesting decoration and conversation piece.
