Wow this seems so similar to my culture the luhya bukusu people from Kenya. Indeed there are similarities in the languages too, which I teach on mychannel. Excited to explore this more and enlighten our people back home. Africa is one ❤
That is true. I learned today that in the years of old when the Xhosa nation fought with other nations they didnt kill women and children. When the enemy surrendered they absorbed them and allowed them to co exist hence we have amahlubi, amabhaca amampondo as different kingdoms etc all Speaking one language tc. Knowledge is power
The Xhosas in Zimbabwe are in Fort Rixon Mbembesi Ntabazinduna they used to work for Cecil John Rhodes in the Eastern cape so they came with him to Rhodesia i went to school with some of them
The Xhosa community is not only in Mbembesi but in several areas like Domboshava; Chitomborwizi, Goromonzi, there are more Xhosa community in Mashonaland than in Matebeland. The difference is those settled in Mashonaland have more adapted to the local shona culture.
@@lanyulasustainablecultural4294Thank you 🙏🏽 I’ve said this many times, that there’s more people with Xhosa heritage in Mashonaland than in Matabeleland . . . . But the Xhosa’s in Mashonaland were assimilated into the Shona tribe, under the Shona Supremacy agenda.
They were the 1st African Artisans who built the railway from Cape to Salisbury (Harare).A large number of them are in Mahalapye ko Botswana and Mahikeng in the North West Province.
Mfengus are originally Zulus were called Fingos so is Bacas. They fled the Zulu tribe because of the fights . Baca means fleeing from … they all speak Xhosa
