I like how the video is supposed to showcase a buffed Kahn but, he’s getting his ass kicked for a majority of it lmfao
I've played Shao Kahn since the game came out and his buffs since then have been incredible. He's now really scary and all three of his variations are good. His back 3 in the corner leads to amazing corner combos. You can get up to 31% without using any meter.
Yet they did nothing to address his crippling hitbox issues and the fact that people can flawless block his most important string F34. Shao Kahn is not better; matter of fact, he's gotten worst with every patch.
deadwalke Exactly. While I agree with Christian that his strings do a lot of damage, damage becomes irrelevant when you can’t even start the string because of hit box issues, interruptions, and flawless blocks.

@@bibliotecas69 Getting buffs to things no one asked for is absolutely pointless. No one asked for B3 to lose out on damage just to be able to combo out of it -- something that was already easy to do with the move before they nerfed the damage. Lets talk about the fact that people can flawless block every single thing he has that is his best tools: F4, F34, B2, F24, S1, B4, and D4. Hitbox issues are still prevalent even after they stated they would address it several patches ago (the same patch where they gave him an 50 increase to his HP which does NOTHING in the grand scheme of things).
Let us also talk about the fact they gave him an armor breaker move in a variation NOBODY ever uses and you lose positioning, damage, and you also lose the ability to perform mind games off of DB2. Hell, where's the buffs to his taunts at in True Kahn? Why is it that his BD4 is flawless blockable and has a fucking hitbox of a twig? Yet you want me to sit here and truly say Shao Kahn is better for this? You seriously think he's BROKEN? GTFO if you think he's broken. It's also clear you know nothing about Kitana either.
deadwalke hit box issues are prevalent in EVERY character, not just the character you like. You deadass are acting like a Kitana main crying for more buffs after every patch lmfao and you’ll continue to cry. Also, he has like 3 armor breaking moves, while characters I play as have an armor breaker move in a variation that no one plays as well. Fucken deal with it

In the last fight you did a 330 damage combo for 2 bars
Since he is buffed he has combos with more damage for only one bar

Great video bro! Idk if you know or not but that double low move he has is now a 50/50. The opponent now has to guess whether you are going to throw after it or shoulder charge. It makes him much better.

Hey Super, there's a lot you can do now with Shao Kahn, he still have some pretty bad stuff's, but's kinda better this way. You don't have to commit only w strike/throw

Now I really like shao kahn. He can put people through the damn blender as long as they use their meter for breakaway and not wake ups. I do this by jailing with forward 4 on wakeup, then basically just forward 3,4 mind game or throw. I also love that anytime shao kahn starts hitting the opponent, they end up cornered.
Granted there's ways out of it but people keep falling for it so sometimes for a laugh I'll just do it over and over again, usually ending the string with the the throw.
But go ahead. Delay your wakeup. Shao kahn won't care. He'll just get you with his 9 frame mid and stupid high corner damage 😈

Still has too many strings that can be interrupted or flawless blocked, no good overhead strings, terrible projectiles, and the hammer lunge has no intangibility to perform as the anti-zoning tool it was clearly designed to be. Also, the overhead hammer should not be able to be traded with uppercuts and the dark priest and the taunting debuffs take too long to activate. I don't understand why a character who should be top tier is being insulted by netherrealm's incompetence.
Whats worse is pre release Ed Boon thought Shao Kahn would win tournaments lmfao. He done fucked up man. Kahn went from the scariest dude in MK to a complete joke

I love the new Buffs they gave Shao Kahn and also made him a bit stronger plus not suck too much
small tip for playing shao kahn, might as well mix the f3 4 with the shoulder charge more often, since if you do the grab you get full combo punished anyway, might as well try going for the shoulder charge a bit more, cause yes they are both punishable, but the shoulder charge if you hit it at least you will do a full combo and you can break armor if you make the read, while the grab deals very little damage and its still full combo punishable with a very little risk reward factor

Is this as complicated to play as it seems? MK def has a unique cadence and feel to its controls, but this just looks inconceivable for an old guy like me who started with the Genesis version..
Old guy here. It was complicated for me, because I wanted to know all the combos and ins and outs of the game right away. Just jump in and find a character you like playing with.
