Fun part is , he would come over and stay the whole day at my parents , drive my mom nuts, then make me drive them 30 mins from Michigan to ohio so they could get cigarettes that were 15 bucks cheaper than Michigan.
He passed almost 10 years ago, and boy my dad an i both miss him . Y mother passed last year . I am sure he is driving her crazy up there as well. I know total long weird story, but just had to get it out i suppose

In the hand that’s “the worst hand bec nothing connects”, 2-4-6-8-10, you should hold the 6spades and 10spades, because you can make a straight flush with those two cards held.

Your last hand had
10 club, 9 heart, 4 club, jack club, and 4 heart.
You had 2 to the royal but kepts the pair of 4s. Why that keep vs the potential royal keep?
The correct way to think about all video poker hands is NOT to focus on the best possible hand. Instead, make the play that will, on average, return the most money. For Ultimate X, this is more difficult than for most video poker games, but there is commercially available software that will give you the answer for every situation. In this particular case, a pair of fours returns much more money than JcTc. You make many 2 pair, trips, boats and quads, but the royal is extremely rare (less than 1 in 16,000) and the other big hands are also very hard to hit because you need 3 perfect cards
Human intuition will vary from player to player, but the simple truth is that if you don't study the game and learn (memorize) the correct strategy, you will make many errors and not even realize it.

Sadly, no. The ace is high or low, but the Ace cannot be both high and low, which is why this hand is not the straight flush.
