History & Heritage Tour Short Profile: Museum Exhibits

From the beaches of Normandy to the sands of Iwo Jima, The National WWII Museum's exhibits are a blend of personal accounts, artifacts, documents, photographs and original film footage. The stories of the dozens of amphibious landings and the thousands of men and women who made Allied victory in World War II possible are told through three floors of exhibit space. In addition, special exhibits draw on the Museum's own collections, as well as relevant traveling exhibits to further illustrate and explore the war that changed the world.

yes indeed. I mean it was awsome there, my god the gift shop overwhelmed the mind,seriously!. excellent displays,and if i remember properly, literally everything is donated???. there was and i hope still is an original pair of US yellow paratrooper gloves from Normandy, upon many many other items to drop the jaw.

i remember this place. i went here back in 2003 or 2004, before Hurricane Katrina. I heard from my father whom lives in TN that people were stealing weapons,uniforms from that museum????

not that just from the giftt shops and coffe place

ummm. well from what I remember before pre Katrina. books, buttons, airsoft guns, uniforms, patches, reenactment pieces. shirts. But i remember the leviathan amount of books there. I am from France it was nearly as good as the book shops here because alot of the best books are from Europe.
