I went to one of their concerts in 2018. Ever since then i cry to every single song i hear by top. It was so amazing and will be one of the best days of my life. This just hits so different slowed down.
Bandito is such a masterpiece. Just humming along to the intro makes me believe I’m in another world completely, surrounded by Trench. Surrounded by people who love me and care about me for who I am and not what I think I need to be for them. Surrounded by people who understand my failures and my anxieties, my self hate and my isolation. I feel... safe. I feel wanted. I feel loved, understood.
And maybe one day, the sun will rise and I won’t need to imagine anymore. Just someday, some where.
I first discovered the original song in about 2019. I was up at 4am on holiday in Scotland and had managed to keep my phone in my room overnight (in those days my parents were bothered about that kind of thing)
This song came on my Spotify just as the first light was coming through the blinds, and I fell in love with it. the drop at 3:06-4:30 area (in this version) I will always remember bawling my eyes out to through the pure beauty of it all. This was the first time I'd felt any strong emotion in over a year. I like to think this song both healed and broke me, but in the best way.
It means so much to me and is a song I will keep close to my heart for the rest of my life. This version truly reignites all those feelings and brings tears of joy rather than sadness to me now.

This is an absolute masterpiece. I usually don't show very much emotion overall, but something like this sends more feelings through me than any other song I've heard. Music truly is the universal language of the heart, mind and soul.
Okay but lets acknowledge that Tyler said Bandito took the longest to write out of all the songs on Trench. I compose music and I can tell you that this composition of just three repeated chords is like no other. Tyler really knew what he was doing with this work of art
