    I think composition is more important than the gear one have, Even one with a cheap camera can create wonderful images if he have a good idea about composition...

    There is also a lot of post-processing in SMcC works -- e.g. to make the composition better. Purist would hate it, but who cares

      Cropping is all fair game. But it really depends on how much dodging and burning manipulation you’re applying to the image for me. Some photogs are a bit heavy handed with it. However McCurry’s images are all quite nice imo.
