I dont know why people dont want to acknowledged the rest of the brothers especially jermaine did a phenomenal job on the vocals. Mike dont always had to do lead. We all know michael was that special talent. But to ignore jermaine talents he had worked with mike on numerous projects as producer musician writer. He has been overshadow by mike success. But jermaine has nice catalog of music in his own right.
The lead voice on "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is Michael's older brother Jermaine. His brother in order Jackie he is the falsetto voice, Tito who played bass guitar only in live performance (they never play on the recorded songs) Jermaine lead guitar and other lead voice, Marlon only sang background, later when they became "The Jacksons" after leaving Motown their youngest brother Randy played the bongos.
Not only are they brothers but they are cousins, parents, third cousins, neighbors, work colleagues, fellow contemporaries, enemies, frenemies, boyfriends and even yes I said it, girlfriends.

The Guy that's singing at the beginning of have yourself a little Christmas is Michael Jackson's 3rd oldest brother Jermaine Jackson who is the second lead singer of the Jackson 5 then after that Jermaine stayed with Motown records while his brother left Motown and took the 5 off becoming the Jacksons in 1976 because of the disagreement between their father Joseph Jackson and Berry Gordy the owner of Motown records but Jermaine stayed because he was still married to Berry Gordy's daughter hazel Gordy at that time and cheated on her years later they divorced in 1987 because hazel had enough of his cheating a$$ but she let him visit his kids and then he started messing with his younger brother Randy Jackson's Baby mama in 1995 and ended up having two sons with her which is why it's messy and it was probably Michael lost his respect and relationship with Jermaine at that time...
I can't wait for you react to wrapped in Red (2013) by Kelly Clarkson which is her first Christmas album and it has a deluxed edition but can add I'll be home for Christmas on that reaction because she had it on her 2011 playlist and 2012 greatest hits and also have second Christmas album when Christmas comes around (2021) which also has a reissued with the word again this year and I also so excited for you to react to Boyz ii men second album which is a Christmas album Christmas interpretations (1993)...
@jacobreacts thanks! "Give Love on Christmas Day" usually ends before "every Tom, Dick, and Harry every Susie too need love every bit as much as you do" lyric. It is on the a capella version and Johnny Gill's version but I have always wondered for years why they never released the full song. It still isn't the full version as it fades on it, but it is longer than the original album. The same for "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," the end has way more dialog than the original.
I feel kind of sad that he was made to sing these songs when in reality he couldn't even celebrate christmas 😢😢
I think about this every time. It's just another layer of the heartbreak he experienced as a child.
Not to fun fact. The Jacksons made a Christmas album for Motown, but the family who were Jehovah Witness didn't celebrity the holiday.

What version of the album were you listening to? There were extended vocals and such from the album I know.
It’s the Apple Music version! Usually it sounds different because of Dolby Atmos sound !
