Gaz brought his RB252 with 62/118 crank and AF tornado exhaust for a dyno at Scooterotica. His scooter presented with lean jetting, but we soon had that sorted and got his engine performing the way it should. Part 2 will follow when his new exhaust is fitted, to make an analysis and comparison :)

Has he modified the crank case transfer openings?
Not as far as I’m aware. But to be fair, I haven’t asked him.
How long will this engine last though at a constant 60 -70 mph on a trip across Europe..
It’s a very well built and reliable engine, so I’d imagine it would fair very well actually. However… the overall power delivery characteristics (and fuel consumption) are not what you would want for that journey, so this isn’t the engine you’d build for that journey.
It’s a bit like asking how would a Harley do on a motocross track… apples and oranges. 👍👍

I really want to fetch mine but I'm miles away in Manchester.
Got a 225 GP, 28mm Dellorto but don't feel I'm getting the best from it.
Maybe because I'm 16st
