Even in 2019 many minorities are fighting for a seat at the table! This was such a special moment for me, I was on the red carpet for John wick 3, after waiting and preparing for hours I was super excited for the opportunity to interview a women who has paved the way for me. Now often times urban news outlets are placed at the end of carpet and never really get all the time they need to conduct interviews.
However Halle Berry made sure we were not skipped she stated “ I can’t skip a brother and a sister on the carpet “ I will forever adore her for this moment of love and support !
You could see on Halle's face, she's like "Why tf y'all pushing me to skip the only black reporter's here, like they aren't worth my time?".
Remy Mafia - 😮😮😄😄😄 Yes her whole face was WTH is goin on!!!???
A win for one black person is a win for all of us 💫💫 keep shining
Facts!!!
A win for all black people is a win for all of us other POC. I support black businesses and black entertainment. The rest of us are reaping off the backs of your ancestors as well. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Not Paris Dennard. He’s a prick.
Amazing. You saw the Hollyweird machine in full effect, all trying to shield Halle from even seeing the black reporters. All those white bodies moving in unison to block her view. But Halle only had to see a little bit of brown out of her periphery to know her people were nearby and I just loved how she had a Bee line to them. She knows that at the end of the day, WE ARE ALL WE GOT!
Unique true Creator bless you in the name of LÓBA 🙏🏽 & true black 🖤 CHRIST Kudumanè Múla Jókisabe 🎯🌍
On several occasions I have seen where Ms. Halle will stop and spend time with our black community. Even times when her talent has been "questioned by us", she ALWAYS takes quality extra time to see her community...making a special effort to connect. This is the side most never see, so when the tabloid media tries to make her out to be out of touch or "crazy", don't believe the hype. They just trying to sell gossip. Way to go #halleberry #johnwick3. AND GO SISTER! YOU ARE WHAT'S NEEDED IN THE BLACK MEDIA BUSINESS!
Agreed!!!
Absolutely correct!👏🏿
ALWAYS STAY ON CODE.
I'm proud of you for that Sis.. Halle Berry as always a Class Act...
I am so proud of Halle for making sure her people weren't excluded!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤❤❤❤❤❤
Maybe cause I'm pregnant...but I got so emotional watching this. 😍😍😍...I felt you.
NO Boo Boo we all felt that. I'm a Black Male and I felt that emotion too
OMG, yes!
I'm a Nigerian-American student studying to be a journalist, and there's always that doubt in the back of my mind, and many people of color - especially women of color - that we won't be successful in whatever field we're going into, especially Journalism for someone like me. I've always wanted to be an investigative journalist, and my professor tells me there aren't that many black females who do investigative journalism. Because of that, there will be people who will turn me down and say no. But she also tells me not to fear, and you are showing me that as well. This act of not giving up has made you become an inspiration to me and many people of color - particularly women - to keep being triumphant despite defeats. ✊🏾
I'm so happy, you were able to get your interview!! Shout out to Hallie Berry for always being gracious & Humble.
I've been a fan of Ms Berry's for a long time. You're also an inspiration Ms. Marie. Thanks for speaking up and sharing this.
That was awesome man. So classy and supportive that she did that. But it’s incredible how those PR people immediately saw the only two black reporters on the carpet and were like, “She has no time for you”😒
Just another reason to love Halle.
Halle Berry is such a CLASS ACT and those resilient journalists are PROFESSIONAL and quite worthy of Halle's attention !!!
You can tell pr is lying, and there was a bodyguard blocking Halle from seeing the reporters. Than when Halle saw them, the pr standing next to her as she's being interviewed has this solemn look on her face. Messed up!
I rewatched it and that bodyguard and pr person purposely blocked the black reporters. They kept positioning themselves to block Halle's view. That's scumbaggery. That PR person needs to be fired
Yes I saw that.. it's so sad and pathetic that they did that.
Proud of Halle and YOU!!! x
Respect to you Halle!!
Bravo Halle
Great job. So happy Halle recognize you and Lamar as reporters and not snub you like her PR. I hope she schooled them after.
I’m glad Halle said this. N hopefully other black stars do this
I WILL 4EVER LOVE HALLE FOR THIS👍🏽🥰. THANKS MY SISTER, MY QUEEN 🤩✨👸🏽✨😘

So thoughtful and considerate of Halle. I've always admired her.
Great move and respect from Halle towards you and the other black journalist. I take pride in being black (ADOS) too.
Halle don't forget where she came from.
And where is that?
@@MsDesiree39 Black movies, black blogs, black magazines, and a black audience.
I respect her on a whole different level because of that. I remember when I was the only black girl on the third floor in my company and only 1 of 3 in the entire building. Whenever there were guests that we did business with, they would introduce them by bringing them to everyone's office, but would get to my office while my door was open and you can see me and they would skip me. One day one of the guys that was visiting saw me in the hallway by myself. He stopped me and said excuse me, I don't think I was able to meet you. And he asked me what my name was and we realized that we had emailed each other several times. He had to introduce himself to me. I believe he knew exactly what he was doing and recognized that I was the only one in the office that was overlooked and made a point to acknowledge me. I dealt with so much racism on that job it was sickening. After I finally open my mouth my manager was actually fired. Not because they liked me more. A new after I told the VP what I was dealing with they had a major lawsuit on their hands. After they fired him, three weeks later I still quit. Because of that, that was the last job I had 15 years ago. It forced me to be an entrepreneur because I never wanted to deal with that Northside of Georgia racism again. So I must say thanks to those racist that are still on that job 15 years later in their 60s. I'm not even 40 and haven't been on No One schedule in a very long time. When I saw that this video it reminded me of that. Kudos to Halle Berry! And to you as well. Get it sista! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Awesome for you for taking a horrible and unfair situation and using it to become better and up your game! You go girl. 👍🏽
Beautiful black queen 👑
THIS IS SUPER AWESOME! Made me tear up. Keep up the great work my sista! WE COMIN' AND THEY CAN'T STOP US!!!
You know you are very, very mentally ill when a celebrity in a UA-cam video makes you cry because she satisfies your sick identity politics.
Blessesd with the presence of the "beautiful" Halle Berry, extended that blessing to others!!
You're relentless cousin fantastic job!

It’s so crazy how this video popped up on my feed. But I was at the sisters in media recruiting event tonight and I heard you tell this story and now I’m seeing this video on my feed. I can imagine how discouraging that could be at times as a black journalist but please don’t give up. You’re very much needed in this field ✨

That's dope. Can we see the interview though?
Ok honey I want to support by posting your stories Where is the actual Interview with Halle Berry and Great Opening Commentary on this video. But am I missing something?
Where's the interview so I can post it?
Mr Wodabe
Halle is a lioness.
I worked with her in the 90s and she is real, what you see, what you get. She does have whites real ALL up in her entourage. Facts then and now. But she manages them, well.
Strategic.
Where is the full interview of Halle berry
Just watched the future Branch, and happy you stood strong 💪 and controlled your narrative.
Completely agree. She was right to shun her PR & have the interview with you. I think that we are breaking boundaries in the media but you can’t shy away from the racism she faced from the black community too. When she was married to white men, she was labelled “sell out” and “Uncle Tom.”
Racism works in all angles. I admit that black people have faced the worst racism over the years but in the 21st century, everyone is a victim of racism. I live in the UK & I went into an area with a significant number of Pakistani people as I had a client there, and was told to leave by the locals as white people were not allowed to walk there after 7pm. They made that area a no go white area after a certain time. Was I a victim of racism would be my question to you?
Where is the interview posted?
That little Asian lady was lying her azz off 😂😂😂... like no we don't have the time for u blackies 😂😂😂
Now that you've gotten the interview with her, can we see it?
Being Pretty does help!
Where’s the interview?
We see you Sus!!!!!!!! Thank you Jason Lee and kanye west
Where Was U On The Grammy🤔

It's extremely sad that BAME people have to work harder to get where they are.
Isn't this racist? Would she have done the same if the person being left out had not been black? She is clearly only making time for the interview because she feels the interviewer was being left out because of the color of her skin. Does this mean she wouldn't have done this if the person being left out had not been black? You can clearly hear the PR person saying that the presentation or whatever was about to start. Therefore, there was a legitimate reason for her to stop giving interviews. I mean, it is okay, that she gave you the chance to interview her. I just think people need to quit throwing labels around.
No this happens a lot actually. Been going on for years. I doubt it.
So Black men are "Black males?" But you refer to Black women as "Black women" in the same breath. I see what you're doing there Ms Feminist.
As a white man, I am so proud of Ms. Berry who has consistently shown what the word CLASS is all about. (i.e. real class has nothing to do with money or position, but with how you treat human beings who have less than you.)
