@ToastyBros I've visited your channel frequently over the years. Could you recommend a good book or two to help me do a first build. I'm familiar with all the parts somewhat but, alot of it gets intimidating when bringing it all together and stuff.
That is crazy that these PC companies don't even attempt to clean these used parts before selling a whole PC...

Jackson's prebuilt was definitely more interesting. Probably half of the vids of this channel have a RX 580 2048 as their GPU.

Almost 2 years ago I sold my old pc for $280 - i5-4690K and GTX970. Would have felt so scummy putting a 500 dollar price tag on it, these flippers are outta control.
Yeah I thought so too. To me I felt like it should have been around $300.
Heck if I wanted to I could build a $450 PC with an USED AMD Ryzen 5 3600, MSI B550 Tomahawk, and EVGA RTX 3060 12GB with the rest of the parts being new which include Monotech Air Max, slicon power 1TB M2 NVMe SSD, Corsair DRR4 16GB 3200 MHZ 36CL, MSI A650BN PSU and a thermal right Pearless Asssian Air cooler. All those parts both mixed of used and new is olny $450 which is not bad at all.
Also this PC will beat both of those prebuilds.

Dude, GTX 1070 came in two prebuilts I saw and bought them both, 1 a ASUS, 5/11/2017 & other a Dell, AUGUST 26 2022. I'd rather have just adequite packaging & better parts.

also tascam audio recorder is your friend. so many audio loudness level differences in this video man. mic one in left channel mic two in right and record them as seperate tracks, voilà.
when you benchmark fortnite, should you use performance mode. witch you should get more fps on, and you could put the sound settings on low too

the minimum intel cpu i consider is 8th gen for budget pre builts

Don't by whole PCs used from Amazon, Walmart, Newegg, eBay, etc... you'll always end up paying way more than it's worth. I just recently bought a used pc with a ryzen 5 2600 rtx 2070 16gb ddr4 3000mhz and a 1tb 980 pro nvme for $350. All i had to replace was the case cuz it was trash and missing the glass side panel, but i ended up finding a decent case for $10 bucks and now I'm fixing to sell it for $550 locally on Facebook marketplace.
You missed out on a much better $499 gamer at Walmart. There's one from Recyclops PC - Ryzen 3 4100, GeForce GTX 1650, 16GB DDR4-3600, 250GB NVMe, WiFi, Bluetooth, Windows 11 that would have been way better than the 4th gen i7 (with a much newer 4 core 8 thread Ryzen 3) and a better graphics card.

Honestly I would pick the GTX 1070 one over the RX 580. AMD pulled driver support for the 400/500 AMD GPU series. So in 2024 I would stay clear from them.
The GTX 1070 has another year or two before it loses driver support. Nivdia Likes to commit driver support for 8 years. Since the GTX 1080TI was released in 2017. The GTX 1000 series should lose driver support in either Mid 2025 or early 2026. So if you are considering the 1000 series keep that in mind. But still in 2024 if you can get the GTX 1070 for $50 it’s worth the gamble.
Also I wanted to add that $500 for these pc are a ripoff. The max I would spend for them is around $300.

Why dont y'all buy from walmart or amazon, instead of a third party seller?
80 something fps and you say not playable. It looked perfectly fine. That's more than I am getting granted I have a 5120x1440 monitor and a 4080 super but everything maxed out epic everything I only get 60-80fps in fortnight. Turn ray tracing on without dlss and it's 40 to 50 fps. And all still perfectly playable.

Asus Prime B450 is for AMD cpu so the i3 is not compatible

I have an i7 4770k with a 1080gtx and it's still running good. Runs 1080p still. Recently replaced it with a 3060rtx.
but performs pretty much the same as a 7700

500usd is a hella rip-off! You can buy OEM's, Dell, Acer, HP, with 11-13th gen Intel and 1650-2050 for the same or less, wtf. Imagine being the receiver of that garbage e-waste.

Although the parts are used, that is not a bad thing. Granted, life has changed, but not that much. Back around the early 90s we had a saying in computer engineering. If your parts could make it past the first 90 days, they'll make it the next 10 years. So, assuming all the parts work out of the box, given it's older tech, they'll probably go another 3 years, which is when you'll likely have to upgrade from systems like those. That said, you'd be better off custom building a budget PC from Newegg or Microcenter for around 800 and it will probably stay relevant for the next five years.
I have an i7 8700k and a GTX 1060 6GB. How many more years do you think these will stay revelant? I think the CPU will stay relevant longer than the 1060.
