I can't be the only one who sees "mixing recipes" and expects to see yellows and blues showing the different kinds of greens you can create, or reds and blues and all of the magical purples that come to life. Instead there are 10 pages of yellows mixed with other yellows, and that trend continues for the majority of the book? 6 pages of actual mixes, and then another chapter of what it looks like when you add more water to the same colour. It feels like a bit of a waste of trees to me, but to each their own.

Aylona do you ever use the colour charts that Jane Blundell did? It's with D/S and I don't have many of their colours, but I do love it for inspiration too. I have started a little to use a site that lists the pigment numbers to study colour a bit. I write everything long hand in a note book and do swatches in a n art journal. Slowly, ever so slowly I am exploring how colour mixed work with the different paints and brands. Both you and Irit have inspired me to explore so much, ... I have this book and I love it, I bought it after watching this ages ago.

Thank you for this review but, I don’t see the “ recipes.” Does it say 2 water drops + the # drops each color? Thank you

2/8/2024: REALLY CONFUSED by the way she notes the ratios of the mixing. 1:4 is NOT 25%. Has anyone figured out what the author means? I tried to find her home page to ask her, but came up empty.
