Ahoi! Dev here again, so fun fact about this song, this was the first song written for the game and it was where we were sort of hemming and hawwing over the games overall sound. Originally Markie had intended the song to end with that more ambient chunk fading out, but I made the specific request to have the ending be more climactic than that, and as a consequence he added an extra minute to the song over night. The song also contains 2 of the games main characters litemotifs, the opening melody that runs from about 0:00 - 0:40 is Caroline the protagonist's, and the melody from 1:45 - 2:15 is the character Cromune's. Game is still WIP and same goes for the OST as a whole. The games music sort of shifts in genre throughout the OST, with chapter 1 being more synth orient, chapter 2 having a more japanese esque aesthetic to it, and 3 a more NIN industrial horror type sound. We've recently had a new composer join our team as well known as Geoffrey Day to help work alongside Markie as he's been a bit busy with other stuff for the time being, and we can't wait for people to hear what he's been working on.
Welcome to the first boss of Viscerafest! I can't tell you how long it took me to finally progress past the title theme to even start the game proper. I did originally want to double down on the song (Signal to Slaughter) that Awesreek, the lead dev, suggested on the previous reaction, but I couldn't find a proper video of the song anywhere on UA-cam. I know a lot of people like to use Doom as a comparison, but for me, a lot of Mick Gordon's work tends to be very mood dependent. I'm not always in the mood for that super hard metal of Doom, Cinder's Theme, etc. Markie's music though I generally find a lot easier to listen to regardless of my mood. He deserves mad, mad props!
Another FF14 fan out of the woodwork, love your reactions and breakdowns, not just the FF14 stuff. I tried searching up to see if you've done these songs, but some high recommendations are Exponential Entropy (Cruise Chaser), Moebius (Alexander Phase 1, there is also an alternate version for Perfect Alexander), Rise (Alexander Phase 2), and On Blade's Edge (Mid-boss theme of Endwalker). Love your work and been enjoying your reactions and keep on rocking!
Need more Destiny music. Some of the best OSTs I have heard are a part of that game. Athanasia and Security Breach together make one of the best tracks that I listen to on repeat

Oh that part around 2 mins in reminds me of "Plastic Night II" from BlazBlue, anyways the amazing OST of Vicerafest continues to deliver.
