I don't care what y'all say, Ellum played this game perfectly. He isn't required to kill anyone as long as tasks aren't done. And he is the only person in the lobby that has won as plaguebearer. He has six crewmates point fingers at everyone except for himself. He is putting all his chips on DD, so he can't get rid of him, it's why he is defending so hard on 5up(whom of which is sauced up somehow) and Janet and Banana. The people that played poorly are 5up, getting marinated in the meeting by Ellum. DK and Banana, arguing until they both get voted out. Janet because when she finished her tasks there are no Imposter Arrows, so she shouldn't waste her button saying they're dead? And Dumbdog because... well, DD was fine, but he just got titled about tasks that he wasn't as focused as he should have been, like going to fix reactor when he should be looking for a body. He knows there is only a neutral killer, and if reactor goes off, the imposters win, so the neutral killer needs to get all the kills or THEY are forced to fix reactor. So yeah, Ellum played this game very well. Fight me.
Minor fact check. Other people have won with Plaguebearer/Pestilence - only hafu has won twice. But guess how many times Ellum has won with the role? 3 Times!!!

We’d need the Ellum POV to confirm if any of this was intentional; can’t say it’s “perfect” otherwise.
I think it’s less of Ellum playing perfectly and more of 5up not doing his tasks. Ellum could have lost that if 5up weren’t running around like an idiot. All other crewmates finished their tasks except Hafu, who only did that because 5up wasn’t doing it either.

I have never shouted at a video as I did watching Ellum not infecting people. Watching Hafu get more and more frustrated was funny, bless her.
Switching vitals might've helped, but this was 100% on the crew for not finishing tasks. Openings for kills are irrelevant, the reason people camp vitals is because its safe. At the end Janet didn't even have a button but was camping it, just because there is nothing to do. Crewmates doing tasks is what provides the time pressure for killers to need to act, which is why Ellum could draw it out so much and just let the crewmates attack one another and just pretend to be clueless and irrelevant.
Yeah the switching vitals interlays were getting annoying. Regardless if it's a good change or not it had nothing to do with why the game went so long. And couldn't actaully see the game while it was up.
Oh I’m not denying that switching where vitals is wouldn’t stop this game from going super long.
But I’m yet to hear why Vitals wouldn’t be better in Lab. It spaces out the game, and stops people like Janet just camping vitals/admin.

Yeah, the repeated amount of times they edited in moving vitals to lab was annoying, Once was enough - you could have just put text up for all the other times, there was no need to do the ghost overlay of the settings. That was really annoying.

I think one of my favourite things in the world is when the Chilled lobby plays gartic phone. Junk makes me cry from laughing, and that’s not something that happens very often to me anymore.

The problem with the whole task thing is the progress bar was so low because pretty much nobody was doing tasks, but nobody was doing tasks because the bar was so low. That win was gifted to Ellum by the crew collectively. But also by 5up specifically 😂.
And this is why we do our tasks so that games aren't 40+ minutes long.
And don't be like 5up who isn't doing their tasks. I don't care what you're doing or what you are, you better do your tasks when you're crew.
To be fair, we see overlapping perspectives so it's not actually 40 mins. Probably closer to 30

I had only seen DumbDog's perspective of this game previously, and listening to Hafu mald in dead chat was an absolute treat! The crew loss ultimately came down to 5up not doing tasks, but there were many things that led to that moment, so there's not really blame to attribute.
I think this game was an important reminder of task wins being a thing for a reason, as evident from crew actually getting some task wins in recent weeks (I'm unsure if this game was before or after those chronologically). Ellum shouldn't've been able to get away with taking forever to infect everyone, but crew allowed him to do so by not doing tasks, so he's free to do that if he chooses (although who knows if he chose to not infect intentionally or if he was just doing Ellum things LUL).

I know ghosts don't normally finish tasks in this lobby, but when a game is going forever then you gotta finish them. Those still in the game have a ton of things to worry about (sussing out the imposter, trying not to get killed, etc.). If the task bar isn't even half filled then that leads the crewmates to believe that ghosts aren't doing theirs so a task win will be impossible. Hafu's logic of 5up isn't doing it, so I'm not either doesn't work because of that.
this so much, it's a frustrating thing I don't care for in this lobby. :\ especially the "rules for thee but not for me" attitude that sometimes comes with it. it puts more pressure on the imps too, I like watching 5up especially in other more task-focused lobbies.

Yeah, but as crewmate you also know that the ghosts are gonna fly through walls and can easily get every task done in one round, minus maybe one long task. Holding tasks on a 40 minute game is mind boggling stupid and is the reason crew lost. This is solely on 5up.
But the task meter doesn't fill up until meetings. So even if it's only a third full, you can assume the ghosts are getting it done

And this is the reason why other task-based social deduction games, similar to among us, generally have a timer which forces crew to actually do their tasks or else they automatically lose if they take too long. (examples: Project Winter and Dread Hunger have the blizzard; First Class Trouble has oxygen depletion)
It's absolutely necessary because the entire game falls apart if the crew realises that doing tasks is optional and the killers realise that killing is optional.

The whole game falls apart when no one does their f**king tasks! This is why dk frustrates me so much normally. If one person doesn't do their tasks what's the point of *anyone* doing them, which is why 5up got so jaded and decided not to do them either.
Y'all should be giving shit to the non-taskers every round! That's the house rule that really needs to be implemented by Hafu. Do... your... tasks! Who cares about double medbay scan or no hiding in a vent if people don't do their tasks. The whole point of tasks is to put pressure on the imposters/neutrals so they don't let it drag out for 40 fkn minutes. GAWD!

35:50 The problem with Polus at the moment is when you're finished tasks, there really is no incentive to leave "Office" where you're one step away from Admin/Vitals/Button at all times. Even if you haven't finished your tasks, people tend to cramp that area often as well.
I believe that moving Vitals to Medbay, it not only makes "thematic sense" (seems like a Vitals monitor belongs more in a room called "MedBay" than it does "Office").
But it also spaces people out a bit more and minimises moments like 35:54 where literally everyone alive is cramped on Vitals in Admin. Sure people can still camp vitals in the new Medbay spot, but to see where the bodies are on admin table, it takes about 12sec+ walking to the admin table, which nerfs the strategy a lot.
I mentioned this to dumbdog in his chat but sadly he didnt seem bothered

Being done with task is miserable on all maps as your only option is camp admin/vitals/etc info, or just aimlessly wander around. Being on skeld with slow killers and slow crew doing task is brutal.

I like how fed up you were with Janet, saying that if Vitals was in Medbay no one would be stacking and it would be easier for a bad role (in this case only Ellum) to kill, yet Ellum was the one who hadn't even reached Pestilence until like 3 minutes before the game ended 😂 So no matter how much they were camping, it wasn't like Ellum didn't have enough chances to kill someone!

He was asked like a week ago on stream if his friends ragging on him ever bothered him, and he said it didn't. He said if he knows the person, then it's banter (and they can figure out their own boundaries in regards to that) and he knows he can dish it back. It's obviously a different situation altogether if a stranger is doing it to him.
Viewer experience is obviously different, but as far as Ellum goes, he's fine (until he says otherwise).

Ellum only won because Streamer Meta effectively. That's why they all hold their tasks like they do. When they don't the time pressure forces the killers to make risky kills, leading to them getting caught red handed.

I think I can see a dynamic going on in this lobby about Ellum.
The rest of the crew seems to often ignore Ellum except for the most basic and verifiable pieces of information. These are the possible scenarios:
1) Ellum is crew: he is fine and you can leave him be and focus on finding the killers, Ellum's information isn't deemed valuable enough.
2) Ellum is a neutral role that can not kill (like Jester and Executioner): he is trying to screw you over but you can leave him be and focus on finding the killers, Ellum is not the main priority.
3) Ellum is a killer role: he quickly self incriminates with a bad kill and gets caught, so you can ignore him and be fine most of the times.
4) Ellum is the Plaguebearer. Now here it gets interesting. As the plaguebearer he can't self incriminate with a kill, and by ignoring him you let him build up the pestilence for the endgame. In the endgame he probably will self incriminate quickly after getting the kill button, but it's so late it may not matter, and it could still be a win for the very strong Pestilence role.
I feel like the logic "if Ellum didn't screw up probably he isn't bad", which is kinda lingering around, helps him with this role.
