The musical genius Klayton once again graces us with an absolutely epic track from his Scandroid project. Klayton truly has a passion for 80's music and synthwave as a whole, as reflected in the quality of music he produces, the videos that accompany them, and his position in the synthwave genre. He zeros in on the memories we all share with his expertly picked lyrics, the epic sounds that he uses, and the amazing visuals. One of my favorite artists....Scandroid.
Agreed. The return of 80's music and synthwave is a dream come true for guys like Klayon and I, who have a love for the 80's, the music, the vibes, the fashion. It's about time real music made a come back to replace all the bad music on the radio today.
A third Scandroid album? Do you ever sleep, Klayton? Not gonna lie though, this sounds pretty great! I'm eagerly awaiting what you'll come up with next.
Sleep? Why would he need sleep? He writes the best music about being a cyborg/robot so he must be one, so he wouldn't need sleep! Could just charge up, and no need to stop making music to do that
Those synths & the sax. It's giving me nostalgic vibes of a time I wasn't even born in. Retrowave truly has something magical. So glad I discovered Scandroid's self-titled album which opened the retrowave world to me
I was pleasantly surprised when I caught this on Spotify last night! Your instrumental work for this track on particular is so good, and the vocals work so nicely with it. I love that reference to your prior albums as always! Scandroid has such a nice narrative.
Most of the Scandroid stuff could EASILY be used for a new Mega Man X game, especially!! Reploids ARE 'awakened' robots!! I've been listening to all the Scandroid stuff and husband and I (both huge X fans) are HOOKED!
Love this one, the "old school movie opening" style from the 80s had never been used yet by Scandroid so this is super refreshing, and the sax adds in perfectly. Not too much into lyrics (go from hiding to shining tonight is a great and addictive line though) but this is super fresh. Much love Klayton. Also: THANKS FOR THE GUITAR SOLO! Man this is purely what is loveable about synthwave, the versatility with guitars is incredible and opens up for great solos :D
I adore this, Utterly obsessed with Scandroid.. I had no idea you were working on more, so this has come as a very saxy surprise. Please tell me there is a 2519 on the way
This is officially my favorite song of yours Klayton! So impressed! From one synthwave artist to another, you never fail to impress or inspire me! Love it man!
Thank you for the 'early birthday present', Klayton! But, I said it on the teaser and I'll say it again here - *_please_* take your time with this next Scandroid album. If we have to wait a year-ish from now to get it? I will appreciate it all the same. Just... please. Give us something a bit more substantial than Monochrome. Even though it had quite a few great songs, it wasn't nearly as cohesive and connected as the debut. I still love the songs there, don't get me wrong, but it just seemed... lacking in the narrative department, which you usually excel at. But, this song is promising!
this, please. klayton, you make fantastic music, but we're patient and we want your output to be it's very best. i worry that the pacing of these pieces is a little too close together and you're not getting time/space to clear your head before you move to the next idea. i LOVE the scandroid project a bunch [it's my favourite of your many bands] but i don't want you - now that you're getting to make the 80's music you always wanted to make - to burn out on it.
The God of music strikes again! I can't wait for another album! Edit: Also I love how your thinking about your third album when I haven't figured the story behind Monochrome! I need more time man!
Synthetic Pacifist 1. It’s not that “there isn’t much story behind it, it’s that the story is ambiguous. You’re not supposed to have a full understanding or know much about it. 2. How exactly is it re-treading the story of the debut album, hm?
you can get in for almost-free: you're going to need a computer, though and an isp so you can upload. but to start off with, i'd look into "free daws" and "free vsts/instruments/loops." a daw: a digital audio workbench. that's how you put the songs together. vst: a kind of digital format for instrument "packages." [like a whole piano or a drum kit.] after that? just learning the software and creativity on your part. you can do it, friend. good luck :)
This is in the crew 2 Miami ride the musical version I love it when driving especially when it’s the past I don’t listen as much as I used to but it’s a great song
I cannot believe that I've recently discovered Scandroid. (I was a fan of Celldweller though) And once again, I am a big fan because this kind of music is totally my jam! Keep up the amazing work!
When I saw this video in the related videos tab, I came immediately in the non-dirty sense of the word. When I heard it, I came immediately in the dirty sense of the word.
Took a few listens to really get into this, and while I absolutely love it now, I feel like this song is... Incomplete? For lack of a better word? IDK how to really describe it, but what we've got right now leaves me wanting more, and the song kinda ends while it's still going. Actually reminds me of how A Thousand Years ended now that I think about it. Again, still love the song and I'll continue to support what you do to the very end, Klay, but I feel like this song could've had a lot more to it.
that sort of fade out was pretty common in the 80's. this particular song reminds me a LOT of sort of mid-80's duran duran/a-ha - same sort of production, same sort of singing, same sort of instruments. from that perspective, i think it's spot on. go and listen to - say - "cry wolf" by a-ha, or "the wild boys" by duran duran. i can sort of hear shades of ALL of that in this song.
I just got my first listen, and i feel the same. This song is so perfect all the time, every part of it is beautiful! I think it's lacking some imperfection somewhere. I love it anyway! Would be interesting to see this song remixed by Celldweller ;)
Sounds like Klayton took some influence from A Space Love Adventure on this one. I approve. So,,, some speculation on the plot of the next album after "Monochrome". Red/ATOM7K and Aphelion/EEV are gone, fragments of themselves and the Android War (see Celldweller; End of an Empire) are dispersed among all extant androids; and it's up to Oblivia (Who I'm assuming is the daughter of ATOM7K and EEV) to unite the androids into a sovereign nation and repair their memories. Edited to fix typo.
Try listening to Lazerhawk's song King of The Streets, and Perturbator's song Sentient. You could also go to the channel called The 80's Guy. That channel is where I discovered all of the synthwave, retrowave, and darkwave artists that I like.
I was really worried Scandroid was abandon and played the original album for ages, but man, it's been just awesome lately. I honestly can't decide if I love the Scandroid or Celldweller label more these days. How is this stuff not on more mainstream soundtracks?
3rd Album!? Wow... but.. waiting for a NEW COD. Regardless.. Klaytons never seems to sleep. Love his music. Just saw Criss Angel Mindfreak and it's peppered with Klaytons music. Both were struggling artists at one time, glad both pushed thru and found success.

and with the back of 80´s (almost a back to the future joke kk), he and scandroid just will grow much more
Agreed. The return of 80's music and synthwave is a dream come true for guys like Klayon and I, who have a love for the 80's, the music, the vibes, the fashion. It's about time real music made a come back to replace all the bad music on the radio today.
Genius, that's the right word. Klayton makes things that are both complex and catchy.
Nice to hear this (instrumental version) on The crew 2 DeLorean Miami Race! 😍😍
agreed
So true
A third Scandroid album?
Do you ever sleep, Klayton?
Not gonna lie though, this sounds pretty great!
I'm eagerly awaiting what you'll come up with next.
don't worry, next week will be a new album release hahaha
He's kinda just making music everyday if he isn't busy w/ other stuff
Sleep? Why would he need sleep? He writes the best music about being a cyborg/robot so he must be one, so he wouldn't need sleep! Could just charge up, and no need to stop making music to do that
@@physics_hacker that is the most logical explanation I've ever heard
oh god I remember reading this exact comment 5 years ago... its been 5 years already.
Those synths & the sax. It's giving me nostalgic vibes of a time I wasn't even born in.
Retrowave truly has something magical. So glad I discovered Scandroid's self-titled album which opened the retrowave world to me
Keep em coming Klayton you rule
Man I’ve been listening to this nonstop since yesterday on Spotify!! Great song Klayton!!
I love this style of music!
This should be getting millions of views.
it is now because it's now on The Crew 2 videogame :)
More like sexyphones, am I right?
Hell ya!! sax me up
Damn Straight! XD
Klayton! How the hell do you do this? Are you the source to perpetual energy?
Nah I take it back, just the source of perpetual perfection
Well said good sir
thank you klayton.
fantastic song.
i'm not blown away so much by the lyrics, but the music is amazing.
best song on The Crew 2 videogame!
thank ya so much, now if ya excuse me, i need to jump in my Delorean Rad Edition :)
I Love Deloreans The Best 1980s cars I have ever seen and even it can be a time machine like in Back To The Future
I was pleasantly surprised when I caught this on Spotify last night! Your instrumental work for this track on particular is so good, and the vocals work so nicely with it.
I love that reference to your prior albums as always! Scandroid has such a nice narrative.
The fact that this is so good is the only crime here :P
Keep up the good work Klayton!
Could be a soundtrack for a Mega Man level
Most of the Scandroid stuff could EASILY be used for a new Mega Man X game, especially!! Reploids ARE 'awakened' robots!! I've been listening to all the Scandroid stuff and husband and I (both huge X fans) are HOOKED!
Could also be for a new Sonic the Hedgehog game.
I've committed a time crime for not listening to this earlier.
Now you will come with me to Time Jail.
Seeing a new Scandroid song is out gives me a smile :)
Love this one, the "old school movie opening" style from the 80s had never been used yet by Scandroid so this is super refreshing, and the sax adds in perfectly. Not too much into lyrics (go from hiding to shining tonight is a great and addictive line though)

Once again brilliant work! Thank you Klayton! Just continiue that, we want more!
Played in 144p, this almost sounds like a cassette tape. A really good one. Very authentic!
I just love how you combine 80's Rock beats with Synthwave!!!
Celldweller never disappoints this is amazing!
the crew 2 brought me here.
Amazing track! I loved it! I keep playing it on repeat and loving it more every time I listen
Wow, this is goooood Klayton! You always produce great music!
I'm addicted to this song. It's so perfect... I want more Scandroid!
Good job. I will buy this one
I adore this, Utterly obsessed with Scandroid.. I had no idea you were working on more, so this has come as a very saxy surprise. Please tell me there is a 2519 on the way
THAT GUITAR!!!!
This is officially my favorite song of yours Klayton! So impressed! From one synthwave artist to another, you never fail to impress or inspire me! Love it man!
The glorious synthwaves mixed with the pure epic sounds of the saxaphone, wicked track scandroid looking forward to your next album ^w^
the perfect track to take a MIAMI RIDE on (crew 2 referance)
That's how I discovered this song, it's so awesome, and like it fits that kind of theme of a neon drive through a city like Miami so well
please dont stop making music
One of your best. Thanks, Klayton.
This song is good. Sounds like a 80s song
Thank you for the 'early birthday present', Klayton! But, I said it on the teaser and I'll say it again here - *_please_* take your time with this next Scandroid album. I have to agree. As much as I loved Monochrome, I think there's this je ne sais quoi missing that could make it even better.
You all are crazy, Monochrome was awesome.
if by "monochrome" you mean "the song monochrome," then yes. that was awesome ;)
Amazing!! 💖😍
Amazing song
I'm digging the Saxaphone
Def adds to "80s ambiance", doesn't it?
The God of music strikes again! I can't wait for another album!
Edit: Also I love how your thinking about your third album when I haven't figured the story behind Monochrome! I need more time man!
tbh there is no story behind it
Roger7789 no, there’s definitely a story behind it.
Not nearly as much of a story as the debut - and, what is there, is kinda retread-y.
Synthetic Pacifist 1. It’s not that “there isn’t much story behind it, it’s that the story is ambiguous. You’re not supposed to have a full understanding or know much about it.
2. How exactly is it re-treading the story of the debut album, hm?
Awesome music!!!
Another amazing track from an amazing artist!
everything he puts out is just fantastic, this is definitely no exception
Wow, I did not expect a new Scandroid song to be release so soon. Also glad to be able to say that it is awesome! :D
Amazing as always!
Very cool!!!!
Man this song is amazing.
Now I'm interested, how did you get into the music business like this. Can others do this also?
you can get in for almost-free:
you're going to need a computer, though and an isp so you can upload. but to start off with, i'd look into "free daws" and "free vsts/instruments/loops."
a daw: a digital audio workbench. that's how you put the songs together.
vst: a kind of digital format for instrument "packages." [like a whole piano or a drum kit.]
after that? just learning the software and creativity on your part.
you can do it, friend. good luck :)
those saxophones man! wow, and that interlude. this is fantastic. 2018 is gonna be a great year for ya klayton. can't wait to hear more.
That sax is so catchy!
Dude, you never cease to amaze me! What an awesome track... much respect!
This is in the crew 2 Miami ride the musical version I love it when driving especially when it’s the past I don’t listen as much as I used to but it’s a great song
You can scan my droid anytime, totally awesome music!!!
Scandroid is some of his best work
These visuals are great just like the music :D
I thought I would try making another video using Unreal Engine 4.
Klayton is the god of music anything he makes is pure gold :3 i had tears of joys while listening to this
NIIIIIIIIIIIICE! GREAT SURPRISE
WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW LONG I WAS WAITING FOR THIS.
In love with this music!
This is such an awesome kick-ass song
This is the best song to ever be pressed to Vinyl
This is FIRE!!!
SO GEIL!!!
I am in love♥
Awesome vibes
Awesome!!!
i like this is!
Very Liked!!!
The level of hype I had for this song is unreal. Klayton, you are a fucking genius, keep it up.
Back to the 80s
Amazing!
When this sound went into my head, I thought that this was the definitive synthwave song of all time. INCREDIBLE.
This is the kind of music we need in life
The footage looks like its a Smash Hit mobile game!
I cannot believe that I've recently discovered Scandroid. (I was a fan of Celldweller though)
And once again, I am a big fan because this kind of music is totally my jam! Keep up the amazing work!
When I saw this video in the related videos tab, I came immediately in the non-dirty sense of the word. When I heard it, I came immediately in the dirty sense of the word.
You never cease to amaze Klayton honestly
I'm in love!!
Nice work Scan!
This one's an absolute killer! The lyrics are off-the-hook and Dat SAX!

hm.
i don't think this is "heavy enough" for a celldweller remix [but that could make it extra interesting.]
Scandroid deserves much more views!
agreed :)
Yes! More Scandroid!
Sounds like Klayton took some influence from A Space Love Adventure on this one. I approve. So,,, some speculation on the plot of the next album after "Monochrome". Edited to fix typo.
Wait, the Scandroid lore extends to Celldweller stuff too?
... I get Red and Aphelion but ATOM7K and EEV are gone?! O.o
As much as I like Scandroid, I'm surprised that I don't like other synthwave artists as much. Maybe it's the cyberpunk theme?
Try listening to Lazerhawk's song King of The Streets, and Perturbator's song Sentient. You could also go to the channel called The 80's Guy. That channel is where I discovered all of the synthwave, retrowave, and darkwave artists that I like.
Cant relate i love them all!!!
Great track.
So.....seeing how you were once in awe with Styx's Mr. Roboto, you wanna try covering it for the next Scandroid album? ;)
That'd be cool.
Awsome! Awsome!
Omg amazing like always !
This whatever looks like a gigantic server room to me :D
We just started the year and a new album has already been confirmed. Klayton, do you sleep? xD
Nope. Doesn't need to. Just has to charge up. What were you thinking, he's human or something??
Celldweller
I just came back from my test and this made me happy again :D
I wish i had a setup to make music like this!
It would be a dream to create songs such as this.
love this tune
Waw..just waw.. The lyrics are so simple yet i can relate to them so much..
JUMPING TIME!
I was really worried Scandroid was abandon and played the original album for ages, but man, it's been just awesome lately. I honestly can't decide if I love the Scandroid or Celldweller label more these days. How is this stuff not on more mainstream soundtracks?
Sounds like an anime soundtrack! I like it!
how is this guy so good
I'm really hoping there's more sax on this album like this song 😍
I wonder how a bad song by Klay would affect space and time...the whole universe would probably explode or something...
See now, here's a flaw in that statement. Klayton just doesn't make bad music. It's impossible.
Yeah at this point it's a physical law. If it were broken we would have to reconsider everything we know from science.
3rd Album!? Wow... but.. waiting for a NEW COD. Regardless.. Klaytons never seems to sleep. Love his music. Just saw Criss Angel Mindfreak and it's peppered with Klaytons music. Both were struggling artists at one time, glad both pushed thru and found success.
