As a composer I find that many times inspiration is born from pain. We allow ourselves to exaggerate/romanticise our feelings, almost like in a film where heartaches have soundtracks. And it's by hyperbolising such feelings that we find a way to explain the subtly immense universe from within. His pain is so drastically strong and admirable that I almost felt like I was the one who'd lost a friend. It's impossible to describe with words what I'm feeling.
