- This video explains the DAMA Visa process. DAMA stands for Designated Area Migration Agreement. This is a special type of employer sponsored visa in a regional area that provides the opportunity of Permanent Residency for applicants who may be older than 45 and whose occupation may not be on the Immigration Occupation List.
With DAMA visa applications it is common for visa applicants to get concessions on things such as:
- The type of occupation that can apply
- The Work Experience
- The Age Requirement

My lawyer has opened a Ministerial Intervention application as we were running out of time my bib only had 30 days left. My employer has offered me the 482 visa sponsorship. The business is in deep need of educators. The goal is to get the minister's intervention to allow me to jump into a visitor visa with work right for six months and then to open an application for sponsorship 482. This was done for several employers who got their MI successful. Would you extend on the ministerial intervention and why most people are resentful of this ?
