Installing DCC in an N Scale Atlas VO-1000

In this video, we install a drop-in style TCS DCC decoder in an N scale Atlas VO-1000 diesel locomotive. This is not a full step by step tutorial but I do g over the basic process and give several tips along the way.

With this modification, will it still run on DC? Or is this loco DCC only?

Great question! This loco will now run on both. Most newer decoders allow for "dual mode" operation where you can still run the loco on DC power. Often times this is a setting that has to be enabled in the CVs.
