- Boss #2 is Dingodile. Still pretty easy, although you might not get it on your first try. You just run in a circle either way and avoid the blasts from his gun. After he stops shooting, he'll start facing towards and you and use his flame thrower to hit you. After you lure him into destroying the crytals or whatever it is around him enough so that you can safely get to him, then you simply jump on him to knock him down. Then you have to quickly get back to safety and repeat two more times to win.
Other than the silly attempts to make his shooting more difficult to dodge, the flame thrower is what you really need to watch out for. Especially the last time, he'll fire it almost instantly after he pauses. So watch him carefully. You can't just keep running away and avoid it, he'll try to predict your movements when using it. And make sure you destroy enough of the crystals around him each time or else it'll make escaping trickier. Beating Dingodile gives you the very useful double jump ability.
Note: These boss fights are done without the use of abilities you gain after defeating them. - Ігри
Who else thought the crystals falling back down was awesome
Not as awesome as Dingodile shrugging off 2 explosions from his flamethrower.
That sound was so satisfying to hear every single time
Especially in the new game.
Sound effects were better on this 🤔I thought. 😏

The remake version sound effects are no where near as good.
I agree with you man, when I was playing it on the Remake I felt really disappointed and the boss battle didn't feel as Epic.
EatmyPiles Whaaaat? I was good up until Dingo's fight. He sure likes laughing A lot and it seems much harder since he won't fire the flamethrower shot until you run in one direction. Though the crystals sure need to sound louder.
The foley artists they had for these games were incredible. Surreal sounds

The rhythm of dingodile attacks with music and the sound effects for the crystal landing still makes this boss so enjoyable to this day, is a shame n sane trilogy didn't replicated that charm

Indeed. The soundtrack wasn't all that good in my opinion for the remake.
Funny, I just commented the very same thing. The sound design in the original is really bad ass, making an rather easy and short boss battle quite memorable.
Fun fact:
This guy was voiced by William Hootkins, the same guy as the fat X-wing flyer in Star Wars, Jek Tono Porkins.
He was also Lt Max Eckhardt in Batman 1989.

What's really impressive is that the dude was from Texas, and this Australian accent he did in a fucking video game (coz as if he knew at the time what a big deal Crash Bandicoot would become) is pretty much FLAWLESS. I say this as an Aussie myself.

The remake's version of this has some pretty awesome music, but it's missing the post defeat dialogue...
They added it in their last patch of the game, though the double burst fire and trick shot landing at your front was absent in the final part of the boss fight which made it easier

I loved the music and the fact that this song was on Crash Bash as well! I just love Steve Duckworth's work. He really brought the music to the next level. I especially love his work on Spyro a Hero's Tale.

A slide jump will enable you to jump higher than the crystals. So this boss can be done in less than a minute

I always felt bad for that poor penguin in the beginning...
Mario is cool and all, but Crash Bandicoot is seriously the GOAT. The music, gameplay, humour and classic dialogue really brought gaming to a whole ‘nother level.
Super Mario 64 was a great introduction of 3D platformers in gaming, but Crash Bandicoot and Spyro took 3D platforming to a new level.

Prodigy Of Rock dingodile’s the name and uka uka and cortex gave me orders to bring the crystals to them during the ice ages so gimme the goods and shove off or I’ll roast
OH GOD his fireballs are going with the beat! (breaks out a dance!)
Without abilities, I use a similar method of dodging those fireballs. I usually run against crystals but still away from the fireballs (if that makes sense) to help me avoid them before the flamethrower.
With all the abilities, it's fun to jump over all the crystals and give Dingodile a thrashing before he gets the chance to attack. =P
i love crash. the bosses were always the best on classic crash and look at the penguin, he is just full of epic win lol

Love the original Dingodile (voiced by William Hootkins) but in the N Sane Triology I like the newer Dingodile’s laugh and how he laughs as he’s shooting out of his flamethrower 😂 kills me every time. He defeats ya he laughs and dances. The original Dingodile just danced around in victory on that platform whenever or if he beat ya

You don't have to jump onto him, spinning works just fine. One thing to note is that if you let him shatter all his crystals, then he brings down a new load of them, and repeats his attack.

You forget the iconic dance
You can actually jump over the walls as I recall. Possibly you need double jump, but I seem to remember not using it while taking him out as fast as possible.
I loved this series. But the minute Crash started talking and was redesigned, I gave up on it. I grew up on this and they fuck it up.
