Thank you all soooo much for the love on this video 🥰 I’m hoping to try a few more cute animals this year, in between my horse sculpture videos. I have some adorable ideas, though if you have a favorite animal you’d love to see me sculpt, let me know and I’ll add it to my ideas list! Happy creating, everyone!
Your videos are just such a joy to watch. Thank you for being so candid about the challenges artists face during the creative process, and for walking us through how you tackle setbacks with optimism and curiosity. You (and your piggies) are absolutely wonderful!
They are super cute! ❤🐹 I’ve given my standing Abyssinian a break because sculpting the rosettes are indeed quite challenging. But I did just discover the impact of using lotion instead of water on AVES. It blends so smoothly, no sticky and sopping wet mess, you can glide your finger and tools effortlessly and there’s little to no fraying. The end product is a super smooth super shiny piece. I’m still trying to learn how to use lotion but so far it’s been incredible lol. You should try it and give us your thoughts.
Awww, thank you so much! 🥹 I’m happy you liked them. I totally get it, sometimes you just need to take a break from a project and come back to it with fresh eyes. I bet your Abyssinian will be amazing when you finish it!
These are freaking adorable! Your sculpting progress really shows, that's just amazing :D I have a question about the oven-baking step for polymer clay - I see you gave them a little "tent" of aluminum foil, what exactly does this do and is it something I should use when I bake my medallion? (for reference, it's a 5' 1/2 inch round medallion horse sculpture). If so, how would I do this lol... any help appreciated greatly!
Aww, thank you so much! And the tent is a heat shield just in case my oven fluctuates (to protect from burning). I make mine from sheets of aluminum foil and I know others pin together two pie tins for the same purpose. If your oven is consistent in temperature, you might not need it, unless you’d like the peace of mind (this is largely why I make mine, I’m so worried of burning all my hard work 😅)
You are so inspiring honestly, I love to see you sculpt, I recently got two guniee pigs! They have been with me for two months now I love them. I really want to get into customs/sculpting but I can't seem to find a cheap substitute clay/etc for building up the body. Like something that does not take long to dry but can get minimum details that is not as squishy as tin foil, before adding clay details, as clay where I am from is quite expensive. Do you have any suggestions? Also I love your more sculpt like process videos! I would love to see more sculpting videos! Drastic customs are also so amazing!! ❤❤🐴🐎
Awww, thank you! More sculpting process videos are certainly coming. As for a base layer that isn’t tinfoil, I’ve seen people use: - newsprint paper bound with tape - foam (spray foam, foam blocks carved down) - air dry clay/cold porcelain clay (people have videos on YT for how to make them at home too) I imagine which option will be best may depend on which clay you’re putting on top and how you want to use it, though hopefully those ideas give you something to start experimenting with!
Thanks! I am excited to start experimenting! I am currently watching your Okapi video right now! It gives me a better idea of skeletons! Thanks so much for all your hard work!@@CreativeKristenTaylor

Ofc! 😊 Happy to hear it, and always happy to share. Wishing you all the fun with your sculpting adventures!
Hi, have you ever sculpted a laying down horse?
Once when I was young. A widdle Appaloosa colt (I shared him briefly in the beginning of my Fjord sculpting video)
