Do you have a daughter? You seem like a great father, so I would like to pay for her college. Please provide me with her street address, phone number, and last 4 digits of her social security number.
Everyone remembers the 'I will find you' speech, but honest to God. My favourite dialogue definitely has to be the one that finished that off. ESPECIALLY how he acted it. He scans the room, looks him straight in The Eyes, "You may not remember me. But we spoke on The Phone 2 days ago... I told you I would find you." 😅 Great Movie.
The delivery how Liam Neeson delivered his lines... Those hit like truck. His eyes during the phone conversation with his daughter, then kidnapper and finally when facing them. From horror to you-will-die-no-matter-what-you-try look in his eyes with realistic fight scene and really well done action scenes do make this stand out so well.
Man on Fire: Tony Scott and Denzel; yes! a favorite combination. Man on Fire, like The Crow and Faster, is a favorite Dark Avenger go-to rewatch in the collection. Good Reference Nick!

Check out the Spanish case of 'Padre Coraje', he infiltrated the gang that killed his son in a gas station robbery and helped the police catch'em. Not so badass, but pretty impressive.
This movie was so well done. I especially like how he kills the guy at the end before letting him finish what he was saying. He bought the mans daughter, he doesn't deserve one more minute.
It's always clear what version of the movie a person watched when he connects the jumper cables - though it doesn't change the experience. Great movie, great reaction.
My number 3 movie all time. The action was so brutal and efficient. Fammke Johannson did such a good job playing his exwife that i wouldn't watch her in anything else for years
I guess I feel bad for her but let’s not forget that if she hadn’t been so friendly with that guy and ignored him none of this would’ve happened, IJS🤷🏽♀️
Gotta love the last guy who tries to negotiate with Liam. After he's already capped 20+ people to get to his daughter. Several of whom were on his boat.
Great reaction, chief! But you need to watch “The Game” (1997) with Michael Douglas. That’s one hell of a psychological thriller with an ending that will twist your brain. Take care, man! 💪🏻
The airport scene at the end seemed like too much of a perfect ending. When they walk to the car, he refuses the ride home and says he’s going to be alright and take a cab. After they drive off, it’s just him standing there for 3 or 4 seconds. The tone is a little ominous, like he knew he wouldn’t make it home. After all, he only took down a few guys from a GLOBAL network. Distancing himself from his daughter in the end, would have been his final act of protecting her. I was thinking the cab was going to explode or there would be somebody waiting for him in his house. Either way… great movie!!!
Hey, I'm a Swede. Doesn't make me a communist cuck mangina even though a disturbing amount of my country"men" are. And that's real life and not just a movie.
My dad was a pretty rough dude...did time in military, state, and federal prison, was a president of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club chapter, covered in scars, and never backed down from a fight. This movie came out when I was 21, not long after I graduated college and moved out. He came to my apartment at 3 am because he had a nightmare after watching this and though he never told me details, it was clear it scared the shit out of him and involved me. We ended up sitting on the couch, watching Fresh Prince of Bel Air, until we both fell asleep. He passed away 5 years ago but every time I see this movie mentioned, I smile and remember how much that tough ass dude loved me.
Grew up watching this with my dad and we love the series would love to see Liam and Keanu in the same movie that would be awesome also i would 100% go to any means to save someone I care about as well
I'm surprised the daughter didn't stay with her dad instead of leaving with her mom. The trauma should have made her want to stay with the person that saved her.
Another good one. Thanks for your reactions. Those guys are idiots. They should have let her go and saved themselves a whole lot of trouble. That politician knew her father was no joke.
He was an ex French secret service agent that's how he knew Liam was an ex CIA agent. He now has an administrative job high up in the French police he was never a politician.
I appreciated that they didn’t give us the old plates out formula of James Bond movies where there are explosions, huge shoot out scenes where the impossible happens, jumping off buildings and 20 min chase scenes. It stayed grounded and showed how efficient he was in taking the animals out. As a father of 2 girls and 2 boys I taught my sons much like my mother taught us, protect your sisters and call me when your mother makes stupid decisions like letting my daughters go to sleep overs or on vacation trips with friends. This movie hit me hard because I had a similar situation where my ex was mad because I didn’t allow my oldest daughter who was 16 go with her friends to Can Cun on spring break. My ex told me I was evil and mean and that when she was 16 her mother let her go out so she said her daughter has a right. I can’t keep them locked in and away from the world forever and if she wanted to let her go I wouldn’t even know since I don’t live with them anymore. I said I can give 2 shits what your mother allowed and yea you guys can lie to me and she can go, but if I would have found out she did that behind my back I would fly to Can Cun and embarrass her in front of her friends and snatch her ass up and bring her home, then I would drop her off and immediately cut her off and stop paying their rent and school clothes and they would get nothing from me. My ex knows and so do my kids that I am not one to be fucked with cuz I would do anything to protect my kids from the evil muthufuckas in this world and also protect them from themselves. She didn’t go with her friends and when I picked them up to take them to Disneyland instead my daughter told me she was not mad and she understands me and we had a great time without their naive dumb mother.
While I agree with protecting the family, I think the way you went about it coupled with how you phrased the recounting of the memories... shows that you and the mom needs some therapy.
Man, I love this movie. I don't know if you take requests off of UA-cam, but if you want a couple other Liam Neeson bangers, check out "Rob Roy" and "Michael Collins." If you enjoyed Braveheart, you'll enjoy Rob Roy, too. Set in Highlands Scotland a bit later than Braveheart.
I'm always surprised Daddy didn't empty the clip from one foot, up the leg, crotch, down the other and say "Is THIS personal enough?" before killing the 'businessman'. Of course the favorite scene remains Kris Kristofferson telling his rich brat's kidnapper Mel Gibson, "I'll give you blood transfusions to two weeks so I can continue to torture you" in 1999's theatrical release of PAYBACK. In that film, it's Good Guy Mel kidnapping Bad Guy Kris' son.
Parts 2 and 3 are also good. Maybe not quite as good as this one because you know more about what to expect from him, but they are still good ones. I knew that when you gave this a "7" at the beginning that you would change it to at least a "9".
There is a major plot hole in this. The police friend could have and should have ended this very quickly by ensuring that his mob contacts would let the two girls go. Not doing so was not only bad business, but was a betrayal of the trust that the gang gave him.

And in all that time, it was this movie that solidified him as one of the greats in the action industry!
I couldn't imagine as a father to not only have your daughter taken, but to hear it happen. Neeson did an excellent job portraying that horror.
He's a huge dude too, he would slap me into another dimension.
I wouldve got slightly annoyed the third time 💀

I'm glad you enjoyed this. They made the bad guys so vile that there was no treatment too harsh for them.
I mean, IS there an extra layer or some sympathetic quality they can give to someone who sells people for sex that would make them LESS vile?
I've been using Marko's "Good luck" for years, only a select few ever get the reference.
What makes it worse is that people like them actually exist.

In the extended cut of the torture scene, Neeson's character drives nails into Marko's legs and attaches the electric clamps to those.
It's funny because I remember seeing that scene in theaters but most likely I actually didn't as it was only from the dvd/br extended cut. (i guess)
He also empties the clip in the St Clair guy in the elevator in the real version. I guess they watered it down for the PG-13 rating.
Yeah not sure why that gets removed tbh, worthwhile scene imo
