Much respect for Mr. Jerry Cantrell. He gave so much credit to Layne for his talents, but he is very talented in his own right. Jerry is the engine that makes all things AIC, go.
Jerry you are by far the best talent ever. You and layne were real and not forgotten brother. You got me through rough times in Afghanistan and Iraq and I truly appreciate you guys. Layne will be missed brother and ty for carrying on the band.
Thank you Troy for your service. I pray you have no PTSD symptoms, like so many of my friends do. I'm glad you had AIC songs to get you through.
Jerry Cantrell and James Root, the kings of the "You Know".
Layne King of Yeah Yeah
Ever notice how jim root kinda have the same playing style as jerry cantrell? Maybe im crazy but def has to be inspired by him in some way lol
Kieber--==That is because Jerry has to word things a certain way or he will be edited out..----C Jimmy Page...He knows!
check--
checks for sure!
Love you Jerry.. miss you Layne. Glad we have aic music old and new.
he can say you know as many times as he wants... i admire the man. and the music he helped create.. i dont give a fuck if he says you know every third word... he is an artist trying to convey the process to those of us who give a damned enough to let the little shit slide.. negative comments about the way he speaks will make the little gems harder for any interviewer to mine.. i appreciate he took the time to share his thoughts on the process... much respect..
🙏❤💯
As someone whose roots are in Washington, we all say you know like a LOT. Pacific Northwesterners have a thing for it.
Yes Jerry, we know.
This is one of the few occasions that you can take some of Jerry's words, literally=the words about Layne.
Chex
I do know.
Nobody cares you know
I remember the "ass end" of new wave music... AC DC, Def Lepperd finally put a dent in it... Guns n Roses eventually broke it's back... But now something new showed up - GRUNGE!!! - my apologies to Nirvana, but all they played on the east coast was "Smells like teen Spirit" - that got old quick.... But... now a new band came along... "Alice in pain" OOPS!! The point is there wasn't on Alice in Chains song that I didn't like... I was already 36yrs old... I recently turned a 24yr old kid on to Alice in Chains - he really loves them!! (As do I) but he really did his homework!! He knows every Bio, all the band members etc... It can actually get annoying at times... But sometimes you do just gotta stand back and see the big picture... To say that this band rocks is an understatement - There never was, or never will be a band of this caliber again... R.I.P. Layne Stayley - my heart bleeds for you and all of your fans (especially me)
Jerry has an amazing voice imo.
YOU KNOW
You know?
Has anyone counted the amount of times Jerry Cantrell says "you know"?
19, 2 in the same sentence twice and an additional 2 'you know what I mean'/s.
@Mario Castillo you must remember, when talking about Jerry Cantrell saying"you know what I mean" and the amount of times he says that phrase. I'm not pacifying anything or anyone. Plus, I don't appreciate people going around putting guilt trips upon others and being so negative. It has nothing to do with Layne. To that effect, you must remember how he passed away. As tragic as it was, he was incredibly talented (such a waist) loads of people die the same way because of speedballs. With saying that, it's not the done thing using the dead to put others down. Don't ever do that with me again! Notice how I did not justify myself to you. I even doubt you even know of Alice in chains and Layne.
@D Macnutz he knew since Alice became famous, he would have to do interviews. He's an amazing song writer. The interview was about him and Layne. He's sitting forwads, looking relaxed and smiled alot of times, I don't think he was nervous. But, that's not saying he didn't like having to do the interview.
@Mario Castillo I was wrong (only) about one thing. If anyone's pacifying anyone, it's you!!! And others like you, all the haters and negative spreading maggots. How ironic is that, you know what I mean.
fans don't give a f*ck...
Wow
Thumbs up if you know :P
You know? :P
don't do drugs
Sorry Jerry, you should have renamed the band. There was only and will only, be one AIC. Ain't nobody named William, but a Layne sure contributed to its creation, and name.
he should have left you homeless!
Someone is jealous
What does it matter how many times he said "you know"? Man, just get the message, please.
It's a harmless joke, not an insult, calm down, you know?
@@nat1bott I know, sure thing 😅
It's hard not get the message. Please remember in order for this harmless joking the interview must be watched first. Everyone (almost) has quirks when being interviewed. It only becomes harmful when others take offence to something harmless.
@@alexlief2072 I didn't take offense, just thought it would be cool if at least one fan had said something beyond the jokes. 😀
You know Jerry is one of the smartest guitar player and singers in history. You know what I’m saying? You know.
