Upon this Abu Bakr sent a letter to Khalid stating O bin Walid upon my life you are doing nothing but marrying women when the blood of 1,200 muslims isn't yet dried in the yard of your house. When prophet heard about the Khalid misdeeds, prophet said thrice O Allah forgive me I am innocent of Khalid deed. Prophet sent Hzt Ali to pay the compensation even of dogs. 1. Khalid bin Walid kill Malik bin Nuwayrah, a prominent companion, took his wife Layla binte Minhal married her on the next day. (Ref Sunni books Tarikh e Tabari, vol. 3, Tarikh Abul Fida, vol. 3, Tarikh Al Yaqubi, vol. 2, Isabah fi marefati sahaba, vol. 3.)
2. Abdullah bin Umar & Abu Qutaydah two prominent sahabas have testified this missed and the latter became so angry that he swore that he would serve in an army led by Khalid. (Ref Sunni books Tabari vol.3, Abul Fida vol 3, yaqubi vol 2.)
3. Umar wanted to punish Khalid and said O enemy of Allah you killed a muslim took his wife on the next day (before waiting period) by Allah I shall stone you.
4. Abu Bakr sent Khalid to Yamamah where he again did the most heinous act as he did with Layla binte Minhal. Upon this Abu Bakr sent a letter to Khalid stating O bin Walid upon my life you are doing nothing but marrying women when the blood of 1,200 muslims isn't yet dried in the yard of your house. (Ref Sunni books Tabari vol. 3 & Tarikh Khamis vol. 3.) When he read the letter he said this must be the work of Umar.
5. Umar kept the pressure on kalif Abu Bakr until he recalled Khalid and rebuked him. (Ref Sunni book As Siddique Abu Bakr by Haykal).
6. When prophet send accursed Khalid to tribe of Bani Juzaymah to preach Islam. When No one accept Islam, Khalid kill many people including age old, women and children. When prophet heard about the Khalid misdeeds, prophet said thrice O Allah forgive me I am innocent of Khalid deed. Prophet sent Hzt Ali to pay the compensation even of dogs. (Ref Sunni book Bukhari vol. 4.)
7. Khalid is the everdrawn sword of Devil 👿 not of Allah. He was an adulterer sahaba. He was the one who injured prophet in the war of uhad while he was an idolator.
8. He was among the 10 accursed person who came to burn the house of daughter of prophet.
