most crime happens night time in touristy areas like Kuta. as a foreigner in Bali you are in disadvantage. I have been in both India & Bali as a foreigner, spent few years in each country. Well, some parts of India, can be quite dangerous for foreigners too & there is not much one can do except avoiding them specially night time & knowing the risks beforehand. I live in Spain, big cities touristic areas are risky for theft as well, night time risk increases, but anywhere in small towns & villages it is super safe 24/7. U r Indian so u know it is Kali Yuga)
