I’m a South African and I don’t think we should play in Champions Cup. We send bullshit sides to go earn a few euros but not compete. At least all the Boks are at home resting but this competition is diluted now. Only the French should send development sides and that’s because they’re scared of the equator.
Because of the geography. Africa is not part of Europe. I'm not bothered about having global competitions but at least recognise it for what it is. A revenue earning opportunity for broadcasters. Shame for English clubs that TNT didn't renew. I'm not paying for PremierSports too, so I now have 9 weekends free during the season. EPCR is going the best way I know to devalue the competition. TNT didn't think the tournament was worth the price.
