Forget female or anything else, that was one of the greatest pieces of driving I've ever seen. This woman won the 24H of the Nurburgring TWICE. She appeared in 2 Sports Car races as a guest driver in a relatively unfamiliar car against pro drivers and finished in the points both times. A generational talent and one that will be severely missed.
A joy to watch and listen to while she does her driving which is her life and passion... You can clearly see it her and her appearances on Top Gear... Nobody can replace you Sabine we may never see another like you... We miss you so much already 😔🙏😢 Prayers for you and Murray Walker, such a cruel week for motorsports...

So very, very sad. I am not ashamed to say that I can't hold my tears whenever I watch a video with Sabine these days. In this, and any other clip, you can see what a positive person she was and how much she enjoyed racing. Her tiny German accent is so delightful too. She never made a big deal about herr success and stayed so very natural and friendly to everybody. I do hope very, very much that a section of the Nürburgring will be carrying her name in the future. She definitely earned it. R.I.P. Sabine
"I do hope very, very much that a section of the Nürburgring will be carrying her name in the future." They actually did! The very first corner is named after her. Very well earned. Rest in Paradise, Sabine 💖😇
I remember her writing on Facebook that she will stop Racing for a while because of cancer treatment. After this she posted a video and wanted to thank everyone in the whole wide world for all the sympathy and, that makes her extra special, she said pray for Alex Zanardi (he just had his handbike accident), he need it more than me! This is the way she was , not focussing only on herself but everybody else too. She was one of a kind and a great sense of humour. One of a kind!
She says at an interview she think she has driven over 30,000 laps. Thats more than awesome. She was my "Taxifahrten" Driver a long time ago. Unbelievible and I've learned that I don't know anything about driving a car.
Every car guys fantasy girl friend, we miss her and what she stood for. Keep your right foot down and don’t lift! If she had been born in 1999 she would be driving in Formula One.
I was going to comment myself that there is only one or two folk who can make a remark like that in a car review :D. So sad that this light of the racing world has been taken from us :(. I have been a little in love with her ever since the 'van incident' on Top Gear
Only she could make a humorous comment like that whit the car bouncing around in the ‘rock ‘n roll’ Carousel. If I had had half her taken when racing I would have been over the moon. Edit: Oops - ‘talent’ not ‘taken’ Need to check before posting😡
Why do I have tears in my eyes but a smile on my face? Cause I am sad at the loss of such a beautiful human being but happy to watch her thrash another race car round the ring. Rip Sabine.
She was always smiling, genuine happiness in her craft, and again just a great person. Never got anywhere near her, but I'm as sad as if she were a close personal friend.
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. Woke up this morning and couldn't hold my emotions, what a woman, amazing spirit and soul. I've sent her a message via Facebook back in October 2020 that everything would be alright, she didn't read it though. I was thinking about bringing a bunch of flowers to Barweiler 😭 it's 160km away from my place. Rest in piece Sabinchen, you'll always be a legend.
Nothing wrong with paying your respects, and I'm sure it would be ok with Sabine, then take those bunch of flowers and enjoy those roads and scenery, as Sabine would of wanted. Do it for all of us 👏🏼
After seeing her drive the RingTaxi, I planned a trip there with my daughter to experience it. We were unable to book Sabine and went out with a BMW suspension engineer and driver and he provided us with an experience we'll never forget... all thanks to Sabine!
Watching and listening to Sabine's commentary is so enjoyable. She really knows her cars but she's funny, emotive and clearly loves driving. Such a wonderful woman. Thanks for the video
My eyes get wet with every memorial video. I think it would have been impossible to be in the same room with Sabine Schmitz and be unhappy. Her bright spirit was irresistible. I think that's the real reason everyone is so sad at her loss.
Such a sad loss, this drive typifies her great relaxing attitude, fantastic driving skills and cheeky chat. She was a great ambassador for motor sport and a brilliant role model. Will be sadly missed.

R.I.P. Sabine You are missed very much by a lot of people who's heart you touched. The Sabine Schmitz Esses, could be quite catchy. I had planned to be going to the Ring in April for my 50th, but because of covid it won't be happening this year anyway, but now it will be a sadder place to go, I'm not even sure if I want to go there, I sort of do, but it just won't be the same.
