- Ukraine war: NATO Secretary-General, Jens Stoltenberg, says Russian President Vladimir Putin's ceasefire demands are 'not in good faith'.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has promised to “immediately” order a ceasefire in Ukraine and begin negotiations if Kyiv starts to withdraw troops from the four occupied Ukrainian regions and renounces plans to join Nato.
Such a deal appears a non-starter for Kyiv, which wants to join the military alliance and has demanded that Russia withdraw its troops from all of its territory.

Why are NATO rejecting a ceasefire? It wasn’t put to them it was put to the Ukrainians, and hold on they’re not at war (officially), are NATO now declaring that they are officially at war with Russia? I need to know.

True, but Ukraine are desperately trying to gain entry to NATO, which is currently impossible as a country that is already at war cannot join the organisation. NATO are not looming over Ukraine giving it orders, Ukraine is begging NATO for it's help, which NATO is doing it's best to accommodate within it's legal framework.
You seem to be of the false opinion that Nato and other Western countries haven't been at the forefront of providing military aid to Ukraine, including setting the stipulations of how weapons provided are used against Russia. It's up to the people of those 4 provinces to decide their future. After being forbidden to speak their mother-tongue (Russian) in school, work, public places and even at home; humiliated, harassed, bullied; shelled, wounded and killed for 16 years, they have the right to ask Russia to save them from ethnic cleansing and secede from Ukraine. The territories belong to the people who live in them, not to the politicians.

Zelenksy also will not accept any ceasefire terms because he wants to stay in power. Boris Johnson blocked a peace proposal at the start of the war. It’s clear to see that Russia isn’t going anywhere. People need to be realistic and accept that the only way this war ends now is if Ukraine accept non-favourable ceasefire terms. They should have negotiated much earlier when they had the upper hand.

Alot of these areas have been in the control of russian seperatists since 2014. Yeh they want more land, but thats how you start a haggle anyway. Ukraine should be looking into peace, even if it means losing say 2 of those provinces. Yeh its not ideal, but its our tax many that is fueling the war and draining our public services, for a war that could end with some more negotiations

That is just not true. Gray zone has no strategic value to Russia. There are a lot of other reasons why Russia invaded and none of these are legitimate.
