I look forward to seeing My Classic Car every week and all of these cars are very interesting not to mention unique. I've never seen most of these. I had a roommate at college many years ago, whose mom would come visit occasionally. She drove a funny looking Saab 2dr and she always liked to take him to lunch (and me if I happened to be there). Getting in the back seat was a job even for me. Great job Dennis. (And I still want to know who takes time to dislike this post or any others)
Thanks Dennis for the show, you were talking about seeing the PT boat so I was hoping to see a tour of the boat. Nice to see the 60s Saab remember seeing them alot when I was a kid and when my dad had his repair shop back in the 70 s. Again thanks Dennis 👍 for all the great car shows 👍😊😀.
Thank you Dennis for this very interresting car show and icing on the cake the "Mermaid" from Poland, all the communism resumed in one car ahaha. The Mermaid is the goddess protector of Warsaw. I love Poland and the Polish people, this country worth the flight, believe me.
Wasn't that Syrena featured on Wheeler Dealers a few years ago? I am sure I remember due to the colour scheme and the assorted stickers on the rear side window. Thank you for uploading a very entertaining video.
Yes, you`re right Nigel, this patriotically painted Syrena 105L has already had the opportunity to appear on television with Edd and Mike. A few months later, the new owner decided to sell Syrena. The buyer turned out to be a Pole living in the UK. At this point, a new stage in life of the "Mermaid" began. Syrena began to serve the owner for occasional rides, but due to the lack of decent service (especially the original parts) quickly lost its efficiency - Syrena is a vehicle that does not forgive service negligence - hence she has returned to Poland
Fun-Tastic episode. So much love for their automobiles, Passion!Terrific car and boat combo show, with perfect setting. Thanks for sharing.JTOrlando, Fl
Syrena wasn't the only one Polish car. Before WW2 Poland was building few own cars - Ralf-Stetysz, CWS T1 (insane piece of engineering - you could strip whole car with one wrench), also few cars were about to enter production in 1940 - Lux-Sport, and few trucks. After the war we were under communistic rule (thanks to Western Betrayal at Jalta), and Syrena was the only one fully Polish (completely designed and produced in Poland) full size passenger car. There were also other cars, like Warszawa (version of Russian Pobieda), Polonez, which was designed mainly by Italians, few small cars like Mikrus, utility cars like Nysa, Zuk, Tarpan and load of trucks like Star or Jelcz and cars like Fiat 126, Fiat 125, which were produced under a license. Only Syrena, Mikrus and trucks were completely Polish designs. Rest was based on some foreign cars, or were designed in other countries. After 1989 Poland was producing cars like Lublin (utility car), Leopard (sport roadster).
If anybody has an eastern block car like that Syrena can take part of big eastern block car ride called ZŁOMBOL. The ride is from Poland to other place in Europe (usually southern) and back. All responsibility is on owner's own.
my favorite was the car owned by Kamila. i would surely go for a ride with her and if the car breaks down. well id be hoping it would break down and do they make those leather "safety belts" right there? there was two cars with those same leather belts
The engine of Syrena reminds me of DKW 3=6 it has also 3 ignitors for each cylinder one on top. I am not sure but the brother model of the DKW from West Germany in the Eastern GDR was the IFA F9 and its production was ceased around 1955/56 in favor of its successor the Wartbung 311. So perhaps Syrena used the basic frame and the engine layout of F9 Series?
What a great show! But if two months of warm weather is all they get in Sweden, I'll be quite content to sit here in sunny Georgia and watch.

I was just going to say that!
@@xneoxpl wow thanks for the information
O ku*wa! Syrena w MyClassicCarTV!!! :D
Dennis, My first car in high school was a 1968 Volvo P1800S I had it about 4 years and drove that car to hell & back. It was very reliable and fun!
I'm glad you've managed to escape from USA to a very interesting car/boat show ,nice quality vid as usual Dennis ,cheers from UK.
I remember this body style of Saab, always like them. The Volvo P1800 has always been a favorite of mine. Thanks Dennis for the sweet memories
One of the best looking cars of all time
The "S" stood for Sweden because it was made there. The original P1800 without the "S" was made in England by Jensen.
I love how I saw 2 of my favorite cars. A Saab Sonett 3 and a Saab 96

Another great video! I watched your series Trippin' on Two Wheels with you and your son also. I'm a big fan!
Loved the "My Classic Car International" show. Do some more.
That is fascinating!! I'm ready to buy a plane ticket now!!
Lovely report from Karlskrona
Wow, that was beautiful... And the car wasn't too bad either, wacka wacka!
That´s a delightful video...Thanks!!
Looks like great time. Thumbs up.
0:14 the green car is a Saab Sonett 3. They were made 1970-1974
I had a 1974 yellow sonett III back in 1995.
I like that I saw a 1959 Volvo PV544 2 days ago when I was buying food
Is that the same "Syrena" from Wheelers Dealers? The color scheme seems to be the same.

in that video, Kanye West drives Tatra MTX V8, made in the Czech Republic
SYRENKA!
...zbieram szczeke z podlogi.
Polish cars look great in present Times.
You should go to a car show in Poland, once.
Can we talk about the playground with the slide going through a GIANT head!?!
Syrena :)
Volvo is my favorite

Supposedly the Syrena engine is a marine pump motor of some sort.
The Cadillac was called "Torpedo Back" not "Fastback" in those days
Isnt this a Re-Run? I can swear i have seen this episode before.
Welcome to Blekinge!
In the beginning I think I saw the car from the karate kid movie
T'is a shame you didn't interview any owners of Borgward Isabella's,i guess they weren't interesting enough for you!.

You mention Cars you have, and want - Why not do a show on your own cars ?
My cars aren’t nearly as nice as the ones I have on the show. 😁
@@MyClassicCarTV It doesn't matter - would still be interesting ...
