Calling this RPG a War Drama game adds something to the flavor. Every culture has them, but I'm looking forward to learning more about your home from this game!
Just letting people know as of March 5th there are still around 140 community copies of this STILL active for free. Just picked it up myself and can't wait to try out this system with my friends.
Cool to get to see you gush about an RPG vaguely inspired by your own geographical region. I don't know a lot about SEA culture and what little I do know is mostly about Bali.
thank you so much for making this video! i'm planning to do a solo play of this and hearing someone talk concretely about the book helped to clarify things further in my head. great commentary!
I've been waiting for this ever since 1st ed hit. I have been trying to expose people who ditched 5e to this system. A video helps. Also you can play furries. A surprising, yet very welcome change.
Will you do a series on gubat banwa stuff? Like explaining mechanics, lore and stuff? Or maybe a second channel dedicated to gubat banwa? Please let us know, i will follow the second channel as well because this game look cool, but, especially tradition and lore stuff, i don't get any of the reference (I'm European, and we forgot south east Asia exist) and i personally would love to watch the series
Thanks for doing another video for the release of this, just picked up Maharlika the other day, and I'm excited to pick this up as well. Listening to the combat made me want to play Devastation of Indines fighting board/card game.
A bit late to the party but you have but me on another esoteric TTRPG that I won't be able to convince anyone to play so I gotta know if anyone knows how good the solo mode is
Tracer from the Gundam Hathaway movie, iirc (it's a 100% from that movie, I even remember the scene it plays in, I'm just not sure about the title of the song)
So, does anyone actually play the game? Cuz I never hear of anyone playing and the inclusion of a solo play mode makes me think its dead in the water...
Yes people actually do play the game, there's a discord server for it of at least a thousand people, why would inclusion of solo play mod make you think this way? if anything, there's a lack of ttrpg allowing people to have solo or 2 players mode and while as much as it is nice to own a pretty ttrpg book, it's better to actually be able to PLAY IT.
Gubat Banwa 1.4 is out and it changed some stuff, AGAIN
Not deviating off the current mechanic completely, but there are a lot of significant changes.
Gubat Banwa definitely has the Reach Heaven Through Violence seal of approval
Nice! I love stuff that reps Southeast Asian culture. It always feels like we're always getting overshadowed by the rest of Asia
Which is a shame, southeast asian culture is so amazing, hope we can see a lot more southeast asia inspured fantasy in the future
Good news, there's a Kickstarter in September
Three actions? A penalty for multiple attacks? A focus on inflicting conditions? Sounds familiar. Sign me up!

I would love to see some deep dives into the different disciplines.
As a Canadian, I'm very excited to get a taste of how different and interesting this form of fantasy will take.
So glad this game is getting more attention, thanks for covering it!
Time to play this solo till I know it well enough to gm!
This is a mood, kinda glad this game has that type of system as well to just excitement and try out some ideas along the way!
Any game that lets me ride a crocodile is doing something right.

Rejoice In the Glory of Combat!!!
Going thru Hell for Jollibee, lol
As we should

One of the most unique tabletop RPG settings I've seen in a long time, and the mechanics look pretty good
Perfect system for my Taga-ilog campaign idea and introducing new people to tactical ttrpgs.

It’s here!!
Glad to hear this is out in full. Also, some very inspiring words on the importance of enjoying one's own art.
This looks incredibly sick
first saw your video on the early access version of this, really cool to see it on final release
This game sounds extremely cool and the setting sounds very engaging... Violence! :D
I appreciate the way it embraces and accepts the violence 😂

This looks pretty fun! I'm hoping I get a chance to play on discord.
I can’t believe Nyanners is canon
I'm so glad you made this! I've been interested in it for a while but it is kind of intimidating lol. Thanks for making it seem so easy!
whoa this looks so aweome
had to come running back here cuz the trash talk released. dumb of me to miss this on first release.
also, Jollibee is both Based and Cursed
Will there be a trash talk on Gubat Banwa in the future?
Cool vid man. Its up for Gubat Banwa.
👊

What's the name of the Stand User discipline?
What is the song that plays at 4:28?
Darude - Sandstorm

is this available in ph?
Don't think so, for now at least
