George Episode 3

Hey Everyone!
George is back to work on his verbal down. If you didn't watch our first episode we had George start with Place command. The verbal down is considerably harder for dogs compared to the place command. This is just one way to teach a verbal down command.

If I’m introducing a new behavior to my dog such as “place” or “free” how long do you suggest I work with the dog daily?

With action commands (Place, Sit, Down, Recall) you should work a minimum of 2x20 minute lessons a day. Obviously the more organic you can make your obedience the better your dog will be.
As for the word free that is our release command and should be just used with minimal questions, it just means they are done working.
