Total Enlightenment NOW! The complete and utter end of fear, anxiety, sorrow, despair, loneliness, shame, guilt, confusion, addictions, and all other mental afflictions/disturbances, is the beginning of True Love, Peace, Happiness, Creativity, and Clarity, in each and every moment of daily life, 24/7, once and for all, now forever.
One of my greatest joys is, at dusk, on a fine weather day to sit with my dog Macy in our garden which is bounded by woodland. She's always chilled out at these times and happy to just be together with me. I follow her attention and let it anchor me in the delights I might miss if I drift off into thought-space. I know she can always bring me to what's here and now.
Your dog tired to play his Zen dog part until… he yawned And then you consoled him with a pat .. come on son this is the zen dog role of your lifetime .. hahahahaha PRICELESS 🙏❤️ thanks for all your wild shirts you wear and those crazy back drops ! Who could ask for more ??? 😉
I’m dog obsessed. Always have been. They are egoless, purely present beings that I’ve always been drawn to. Your fur baby is beautiful and lucky to have you as a friend. Every dog I’ve had has been a beautiful teacher. Pure joy and aliveness. I too am allergic to cats. What are allergies? I often wondered if it is some form of resistance that would fall away after awakening, but my allergies happened for me so young … long before I was trapped in the mind.
My best little buddy is so emotionally in tune.. I've been going through a lot over the last year and he can sense when I'm really having a moment and come from the other room and he will literally squeal (because he feels my upset) and jump and put his paw over my heart and lick me to tell me everything's alright. He's constantly bringing me out of my head. And every night before bed without fail, since he was a puppy he jumps up and plops and leans hard into me for a long hug, nuzzles his head below my neck and then he'll go do his thing at the foot of the bed. I've never been more grateful for anything in my life. I always say he's my "little angel dressed up as a young pup". 😂
I have worked as a dog walker/sitter for the last 8 years and my business went absolutely gangbusters right after my initial awakening. So yes during that come down, David Hume may has saved my mind from insanity, but dogs (and the occasional cat) saved my heart from shattering. I've always lived with dogs usually in pairs, including now. I can't express my gratitude enough when I think about all the support I've had through them.
It amazes me, when Im experiencing pain in my feet, if I allow the sensation and energy to just be, then deconstruct "this is painful" into "it's just a sensation, "painful" is a concept, I do not resist .. the sensation usually ceases after a few seconds. If it returns and my mind jumps to "ouch, pain" I redo the exercise and it goes away again. Just wanted to share that. And yes, a wise man once said "pets are here to teach us unconditional love." I would add an addendum and say "and absolute presence" 🥰
Beautiful 🐕. My cat stays away from people including me. My dog has a separation anxiety if I’m away from her. They seem exist in different zone. One close to heart, more spirit the other
Thank you. Had an emotional day and this came at a good time and by the end of the video I had one dog and two cats with me. Helping me investigate. 🐈 🐶
Actually, my name is Melody. I'm incognito, lol! Angelo, (Angel-o), no coincidences! I just want to thank you! The universe introduced us just when I needed you most! Namaste 🙏
There's a funny video with Francis Lucille where he says, 'I used to have an enlightened dog. But if you were to ask him whether he was enlightened he would have denied it!'
Since dogs down't have words per se, they can't really produce conceptual thought in the way humans can, right? So I would assume that while they can learn behaviors based on past activities/traumas/etc. and anticipate things based on cue's (Pavlov's bell et al), I would think they primarily live in the presenet moment, if that qualifies as "Buddha Nature"?
When I’m by myself or when I’m inquiring/meditating I can find stillness and peacefulness. However, when I go out into the world to hangout with my friends, to cook food, to go to school etc. I go back to autopilot which is the conditioned, unconscious mind. Should I make an effort to not be pulled into the thought stream/mind and to be as conscious and present as possible throughout the day or is this only important when I’m doing formal practice? I just bought your book I’m not sure if there’s a chapter that clarifies this.

You and your doggy just "being" says it all ... Just a beautiful example of what reality is ... The present moment of now
She is pure innocence and cuteness

Very similar to Spanish Podencos, another ancient hunting breed.

Inquiry into beliefs about others and social conditioning, emotion work, both will be very helpful.
