Hi Germaine! No matter how many comments I write doesn’t seem to be able to convey my gratitude for making these videos😂😂 I can definitely relate only understanding what the teacher says after reviewing the video, I always do that and the embarrassment kinda help to cement the mistake/things I didn’t pick up into my memory. I think it is a good method. But recently I have a huge backlog of lesson vids to review that makes me think to stop my lessons temporarily to catch up😂😂

So many times, I review my videos and wonder why I didn’t understand it the first time. I think there’s just too much going on during the conversations that our brain’s ram capacity just maxes out and starts to lag. So recording and reviewing really helps with the learning.
@@GermaineJapanese RAM maxing out is the exact description of the situation!😂 I had that so much and sorry for the sensei who thought I might be disinterested in the topic, my brain was just lagging 😂😂 “I should’ve said this”, “I could’ve explained it better” these thoughts always came out during reviewing. But I guess that is how we learn🤔😊

What would be even more awesome is if you could add closed caption subtitles in Japanese to these kinds of videos so that you can use tools like Language Reactor and Yomichan with your videos. Might be a lot of work, no idea, but personally I'd be happy to pay for that kind of content (via ko-fi, patreon, whatever). Just an idea.
Hi, thanks for the suggestion! I totally agree with you, unfortunately at the moment I don't really have the time to do such detailed transcription of the subtitles. (Previously, some videos were sponsored by Japanese online school so they did the subtitles for me) I've tried to check out the price for such transcription work and it seems to be quite costly. I'm not sure if I could get enough people to chip in to get it covered?

Right now, im just trying to improve progressively From what you said, I would be more like a N5-N4 for comprehension. I like the vocabulary/definitions of more difficult words since im not that skilled in Japanese yet XD
