😊Thank you for this song. This morning it is a word direct from heaven to me. 18 months ago my 88 year old mamma died. Full of hope, eager for healing; her heart surgery failed & God elected to take her home… Over the weeks preceding, “The Goodness of God” had been our theme song- “All my life He has been faithful; all my life He has been so, so good… Every breath that I am able, I will sing if the goodness of God…” I really expected a ‘successful outcome’ from surgery… but “Breath” just wasn’t able any more.😢 Mom died as she lived: project in hand, hope in her heart, & her eyes fixed on Jesus. For the last 18 months I’ve wept every time I hear “her” theme song, The Goodness of God.” He was SOO present in every detail of her departure; so faithful and present with me. But still, In the wee hours- those moments between wakefulness and sleep, when heaven is near and heart-defenses are down, Mom’s death has remained so real for me and her absence so aching. But this morning, this song was like hearing God issue me her new theme song from heaven- like seeing/ hearing her rejoicing with a living, vibrant throng of praise es in heaven: “I have seen it for myself; I have lived enough to tell… he’s never failed me once! From beginning to the end -no matter what… My story is the faithfulness of God.” Hearing this was like hearing her chide me, her child: “Quit grieving! I’m HERE! And I’ve lived HERE long enough to tell you- God did not fail! Not once! He didn’t fail-see! My story is the faithfulness of God. His faithfulness endures, and I’m singing it more loud and vibrant than I ever could on earth-HERE; NOW! See??!” Truly, weeping endures for the night… but joy comes in the morning. THANKYOU for helping the sunrise of morning come to me. Thank you again for this song.’- Mom’s truly rejoicing, shouting, “I have seen it for myself!!” Blessings from MT🏔️
