My current favorite is Byredo - Bal D’Afrique... its just so good, you can actually walk and then take a step back and see how different and wonderful it smells in the air rather than right off of your skin (which is great as well but the sillage is magnificent). I think it would definitely suit you too Clemence. By the way, american or british accent, meh, i prrrefer ze frrench accan over those any day 😃
You have the most beautiful French accent! No need to change it. For favorites for me, an everyday one that makes me feel good and put together is Chanel Beige. It's classy yet understated and I can dress it up or down. My most favorite and the one I reserve for special occasions is Frederic Malle's Portrait of a Lady. This gets so much hype for good reason. It's big, it's bold, it's little black dress, it's pure luxury in a bottle. I have to agree with you regarding Grand Soir. An addictive, smooth beautiful fragrance. I really enjoy someone French pronounce the French names and words so naturally. A beautiful language matched with so many beautiful Fench created Fragrances.
My favorite scent is Black Orchid, one of the very very few fragrance that I consider a true "masterpiece". I love florals, the only type of fragrances i wear along with sweet ones, and as soon as I've seen the notes in it, I had to check it out. The scent is like a floral base fragrance that is "attacked" by different accords: the gourmandish ones in the base with vanilla and chocolate, the earthy ones ( patchouli and truffle ), smokey ones, spicy ones and also fruity ones in the opening. When I heard that was one of Michael Jackson favorites I already knew that I was going to love it, before even smelling it. Black Orchid matches everything i search in a scent : extremely bold, love or hate it, not mass pleasing, not "safe", not versatile, extremely polarizing. I've not smelled tons of fragrances but I can definitely say Black Orchid will always be my masterpiece. My other favorite fragrance close second to BO is Versace Eros, a vanilla, tonka bean and green apple super sweet scent i just adore.

Great choices! Definetly keep going, especially if you enjoy what you do! My favourites would have to be: 1. The original Zoologist Bat/ Night Flyer by Olympic Orchids. It is just such a transportive scent. Reminds me of my trips cave diving. 2. Dsquared Rocky Mountain Wood. Purely due to the amazing rendition of the woods of the country I grew up in (Canada) 3 & 4. Guerlain Encens Mythique and Zoologist Squid. Reminds me of the deep sea and docking on a coastal town and wondering on the docks for the night. 5. Oriza L. Legrand Chypre Mousse for the classy but also earthy feeling.
My favorite scent of all time is probably Silver Mountain Water by Creed. My dad had it when I was really young so I have a lot of memories with it. Plus, to me it smells like what I would imagine heaven smelling like. That fresh opening is so divine and the musky drydown, I can't sing its praises enough.

Great video Clemence. Your genuineness and wonderful humor and personality shine through every video. My top five faves are: Guerlain L'Heure Bleue - I've been buying this on repeat for over 20 yrs. Chanel No5 - my favourite at the moment is the edt, Shalimar Souffl Intense - just for it's deliciousness, Frederic Malle L'eau D'Hiver - addicted to the point where I feel slightly panicky if I can't get my hands on it. I love Chanel 22. It has a special place in my heart. My beautiful aunt who could have easily been a fashion model wore this when I was a child a long time ago. lol I always thought it would make an excellent wedding day scent. It is serious and no, not sexy, but it has a beautiful elegance about it and it. It smells of a beautiful, rich woman of fine pedigree :)

It's been lovely seeing your channel grow. I've been here since about 5K subscribers I think? Anyway, I certainly can relate to the peculiarity of being a fragrance lover - none of my "real life" friends are into fragrances like I am, so, were it not for UA-cam, I'd have a pretty lonely hobby. At any rate, my favorite five would probably be Bond No. 9 West Side, Serge Lutens Gris Clair, Scent Salim Rose des Rêves, Tuscan Leather, and Bond No. 9 Dubai Amber.

My all time favorite perfumes are Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose, V Canto Cicuta and V Canto Stramonio. They smells fantastic and the bottles are beautiful
My favorites are Givenchy Hot Couture(I wore it when I met my husband when I was a teen so it brings back a ton of memories each time I wear it, Versace Yellow Diamond(I get so many compliments from this one, Kilian love don’t be shy, layered with Vodka on the rocks, Vivienne Westwood-Boudoir(I still have the original formula that I wore as a teen and they reformulated it and it didn’t smell the same and now it’s discontinued, I still have half a bottle left lol) last is MFK oud satin mood.

Personally my favourite fragrences are Guerlain Vetiver, Parfums de Marly Carlisle and top of the list is Amouage reflection man. They all make me feel so happy when I wear them.
I love your accent, don't change. I only have a few fragrances so I am sure my fav 5 will still evolve. My favorites ATM include 1. V&R Bon bon. Super love the caramel scent though it does not last so long on me. 2. Versace Crystal Noir, I find the scent mysterious and unique so I love it. 3. Cartier Baiser du Dragon. I like it's unisex vibe, deep, rich, chocolatey warmth. 4. Calvin Klein Euphoria has that wonderful blend of sweet, deep, rich scent. 5. Maison Margiela Matcha Meditation is such an uplifting, sweet, green and pleasant scent to me. I am a gourmand and oriental scent lover who loves your channel. I like your in depth knowledge of perfumes and look forward to watching you.

Great video! My currently favorite fragrance is from LV Ombre Nomade, it's a sexy beast, floral smooky leathery, great for autumn and winter time. I'd definitely buy Grand Soir next, because I'm also a Narciso Rodriguez fans ;)

Bonjour Clémence, I just left Curly scent channel where you have talked about your choice, then i see you again on your channel, what a pleasant surprise today 💝🥰. Love collab like this one 💖. I’m happy that an oud fragrance is in the second place, and Grand Soir just behind. I’m not transported by Chanel n°22... I’m in my oud period 😂. If i only have one choice for everyday, and that i can’t live without is Teef al Hub by Ard al Zaafaran. Rose oud and vanilla. Very affordable perfum. I’m addicted, completely dependant. Can’t sleep if i don’t spray it on my pillow... i know i’m crazy 🤪. Ce parfum est enveloppant, doudou, chaleureux, réconfortant, comme si je retournais en enfance serrer mon nounours dans les bras. Il est aussi sexy apparemment, mon mari a échangé mon oreiller contre le sien qui n’était pas parfumé. Évidemment je suis allée le parfumer de suite. Je ne vous fait pas un dessin pour la suite 🤭. Partant de cet état de fait, j’aime quasiment tous les parfums qui contiennent le oud et la rose (Oud Ispahan, Rosewood, purple oud, Resala, etc). Je dis quasiment parce que c’est jusqu'à preuve du contraire... J’adore aussi Grand Soir qui se retrouve en 2eme place parce que comme toi je ne le met pas tous les jours, seulement quand je veux en jeter 😇. Il est sublime mais je ne peux pas arroser mon oreiller avec 😂. Contente de suivre qqn qui aime aussi le oud. Ceux qui veulent l’accent british peuvent regarder d’autres chaînes, alors qu’une chaîne qui parle un anglais clair avec notre touche française il n’y en a pas tant que ça. Tu ne peux pas faire plaisir a tout le monde. C’est déjà super que tu fasses des vidéos dans les 2 langues. :) I loved the glottal stops, such as in "wha´" and "lo´", not pronouncing the "t" in "what" and "lot", funny combination of a cockney working class accent when talking about high end luxury perfumes :) Like a My Fair Lady -thing.
@@MissCee370 Yes, the combination of straight London cockney... ...but you know what, there IS a version of high-street modern middle class accent which is not really Manchester/Midlands English and it comes across as having the same effect. This is to do with shipping, the docks, even wine merchants, chefs, engineers, gunsmiths, that kind of thing - they had a lot of Continental interactions. I'd be interested to know how she ever got this accent. It isn't completely unique, but it is rare. You would never tamper with it. People often make this big mistake of assuming, let's say for instance, the Windsors are 'upper class;' they not, really - they are Germanic, Mid-European, and certainly not anything like as truly 'upper class' as even the old school Paris 'Bohemians,' displaced from the destruction of Pomerania, Austro-Hungary and so on. Those local supporters of the genuine original 'British' aristocracy, whose 'uncle' more or less, was Louis 'Roi Soleil' of France (Stuarts, Salisburies, Lennox-Walkers, March's and so on) - for example the New Forest people, Northern Ireland (some), all the port places Bristol, even Surrey (Mick Jagger!) - all had similar accents that would be taken for 'rural' class but they were high aristocrats on the land and estates! ...So, this accent would fit in in the highest circles. It is what it is.
Wow, No 5 was my first fragrance as well. I love Chanel but now I prefer No 19. I have also 9 of Les exclusifs, Gardenia, Misia , Coromandel, Beige, Bel respiro, 1932, Jersey, bois des iles, cuir de russie. I adore also Coco, Allure and Christale. I like as well Guerlain but older formulations like Jicky, Lheure blueu or Shalimar.
@@mrscluedo7597 It is very moderate but not the weakest one from the family of Les Exclusifs. I get good 6 hours on cooler days. Gardenia id definitely a weaker one.

@@mrscluedo7597 It depends on chemistry of your skin and environment. For me Bel Respiro has little in common with No19 though I know this is suggested by sale representatives .It reminds me of Dune by Dior.

I do agree with everything you said about Terre D Hermes but i dont believe that its a Vetiver based fragrance. I love Vetiver but in Terre there is just a hint of it. My favorites are. 1) Oud Wood by Tom Ford. 2) Gucci pour homme 3) Gucci pour homme 2 4) Narciso Rodriguez for Him EDP 5) Vetiver Extraordinaire by F. I love Scherzo too 🙂 and wow a year, is my year too now. I was thinking about a Clémence fragrance you know and I just don't know what you'd create you have such a fantastic Eclectic taste. I don't know my top 5 would be hard. Maybe Black Opium, Back to Black, Rolling in Love, Hundred Silent Ways, and genuinely by a really small company pocketscents their Raspberry and Vanilla has been one of my favourites from the whole year. And you best be here in a year mate 🙂 by far one of the people I most inspire to be as good as, we are very different in styles but I hope I learn to present all the nerdy fascinating info in a way as fantastically as you do 🙂 and to be as engaging and fun. Enough compliments 😜 but I also know we have to thank Chris for nudging you towards UA-cam and becoming the best really mate 🙂 for me anyways

Hi Clemence, would you happen to know of a niche perfume for women that very much resembles Terre d'Hermes in style and flowers, but instead of oranges and freshness, it is powdery and musc(maybe oud) and stays on the skin for days if you don't shower. Color of perfume is clear.
So what are the iconic scents...... Lumiere Noir was my first niche scent that is really my signature scent. Grand Soir is another one that is a staple for me. Perfect for date nights and high class dinners. Portrait of a lady is one that is essential when I go to a ball during the winter or a night at a casino or any other black tie events. It is funny how one can gravitate towards a scent and either instantly or step by step the scent becomes somehow your personality. My second niche scent was 34 Blv Saint Germain when I'm in Paris I always have to visit the Diptyque store ... I usually have my accommodation in the 6th arrondissement.... Honourable mention is Tempo. I know you like vetiver I love it to and my all time fav special vetiver is Serge Lutens Vetiver Oriental. It would be great if you shared your thoughts about it with us. I have two designer staples too Dior Dune pour homme and YSL Kouros. I dont know the world of lady's fragrances but I can tell you what were the scents I was grown up with what my mother and my godmother considered to be staple scents. My mom has always been a Chanel/ Guerlain lady, I remember the smell of No. 5 when my father would take her out for dinners and balls, and she used something by Chanel which name was Crystal or something like that. On the Guerlain side I remember the smell of Vol de Nuit she still wears it when we have family birthday parties just like when we were kids, after my birth she started wearing her other - to me signature scent Samsara when I have a birthday I always buy her a new bottle of Samsara 😀 oh and when she went to work to the office she used to wear L'heure Bleu. My Godmother's personality is reflected in her signature scent Nahema by Guerlain and when we were kids and used to take long walks in the valley with her she always wore No.19 by Chanel and when she took us to the theatre she used to wear Coco and actually she still does. Oh and my dear old granny when we visited her her whole house smellt like a perfume shop but her staple signature was Fracas I dont remember the brand but you must know it. My favourite is Bvlgari Blv Pour Homme (Alberto Morillas) and then Bvlgari went and discontinued it. Ce n'est pas juste. My second favourite was Bvlgari Blv Notte (also by Alberto Morillas) and then Bvlgari went and discontinued that as well. Mon dieu! I loved the wonderful Guerlain Homme and Homme L'Eau ... which both got discontinued. I'm beginning to think I shouldn't have favourites any more - it doesn't seem to end well!

My current favorite is Byredo - Bal D’Afrique... its just so good, you can actually walk and then take a step back and see how different and wonderful it smells in the air rather than right off of your skin (which is great as well but the sillage is magnificent). You have the most beautiful French accent! No need to change it. For favorites for me, an everyday one that makes me feel good and put together is Chanel Beige. I have to agree with you regarding Grand Soir. An addictive, smooth beautiful fragrance. I really enjoy someone French pronounce the French names and words so naturally. A beautiful language matched with so many beautiful Fench created Fragrances.

My favorite scent is Black Orchid, one of the very very few fragrance that I consider a true "masterpiece".
I love florals, the only type of fragrances i wear along with sweet ones, and as soon as I've seen the notes in it, I had to check it out. The scent is like a floral base fragrance that is "attacked" by different accords: the gourmandish ones in the base with vanilla and chocolate, the earthy ones ( patchouli and truffle ), smokey ones, spicy ones and also fruity ones in the opening.
When I heard that was one of Michael Jackson favorites I already knew that I was going to love it, before even smelling it.
Black Orchid matches everything i search in a scent : extremely bold, love or hate it, not mass pleasing, not "safe", not versatile, extremely polarizing.
I've not smelled tons of fragrances but I can definitely say Black Orchid will always be my masterpiece.
My other favorite fragrance close second to BO is Versace Eros, a vanilla, tonka bean and green apple super sweet scent i just adore.
I completly agree with you about the fact that black orchid is a masterpiece, it's an incredible scent and I had no idea for Michael Jackson !

1. The original Zoologist Bat/ Night Flyer by Olympic Orchids. It is just such a transportive scent. Reminds me of my trips cave diving.
2. Dsquared Rocky Mountain Wood. Purely due to the amazing rendition of the woods of the country I grew up in (Canada)
3 & 4. Guerlain Encens Mythique and Zoologist Squid. Reminds me of the deep sea and docking on a coastal town and wondering on the docks for the night.
5. Oriza L. Legrand Chypre Mousse for the classy but also earthy feeling.

My favorite scent of all time is probably Silver Mountain Water by Creed. My dad had it when I was really young so I have a lot of memories with it. Plus, to me it smells like what I would imagine heaven smelling like. That fresh opening is so divine and the musky drydown, I can't sing its praises enough.

I love Chanel 22. It has a special place in my heart. My beautiful aunt who could have easily been a fashion model wore this when I was a child a long time ago. lol I always thought it would make an excellent wedding day scent. Anyway, I certainly can relate to the peculiarity of being a fragrance lover - none of my "real life" friends are into fragrances like I am, so, were it not for UA-cam, I'd have a pretty lonely hobby. At any rate, my favorite five would probably be Bond No. 9 West Side, Serge Lutens Gris Clair, Scent Salim Rose des Rêves, Tuscan Leather, and Bond No. 9 Dubai Amber.

Super love the caramel scent though it does not last so long on me. 2. Versace Crystal Noir, I find the scent mysterious and unique so I love it. 3. Cartier Baiser du Dragon. I like it's unisex vibe, deep, rich, chocolatey warmth. 4. Calvin Klein Euphoria has that wonderful blend of sweet, deep, rich scent. 5. Maison Margiela Matcha Meditation is such an uplifting, sweet, green and pleasant scent to me. I am a gourmand and oriental scent lover who loves your channel. I’m happy that an oud fragrance is in the second place, and Grand Soir just behind. I’m not transported by Chanel n°22... I’m in my oud period 😂.
If i only have one choice for everyday, and that i can’t live without is Teef al Hub by Ard al Zaafaran. Rose oud and vanilla. Very affordable perfum. I’m addicted, completely dependant. Can’t sleep if i don’t spray it on my pillow... i know i’m crazy 🤪.
Ce parfum est enveloppant, doudou, chaleureux, réconfortant, comme si je retournais en enfance serrer mon nounours dans les bras. Il est aussi sexy apparemment, mon mari a échangé mon oreiller contre le sien qui n’était pas parfumé. Évidemment je suis allée le parfumer de suite. Je ne vous fait pas un dessin pour la suite 🤭.
Partant de cet état de fait, j’aime quasiment tous les parfums qui contiennent le oud et la rose (Oud Ispahan, Rosewood, purple oud, Resala, etc). Je dis quasiment parce que c’est jusqu'à preuve du contraire...

@@MissCee370 Yes, the combination of straight London cockney... ...but you know what, there IS a version of high-street modern middle class accent which is not really Manchester/Midlands English and it comes across as having the same effect. This is to do with shipping, the docks, even wine merchants, chefs, engineers, gunsmiths, that kind of thing - they had a lot of Continental interactions. I'd be interested to know how she ever got this accent. It isn't completely unique, but it is rare. You would never tamper with it. People often make this big mistake of assuming, let's say for instance, the Windsors are 'upper class;' they not, really - they are Germanic, Mid-European, and certainly not anything like as truly 'upper class' as even the old school Paris 'Bohemians,' displaced from the destruction of Pomerania, Austro-Hungary and so on. Wow, No 5 was my first fragrance as well. I love Chanel but now I prefer No 19. I have also 9 of Les exclusifs, Gardenia, Misia , Coromandel, Beige, Bel respiro, 1932, Jersey, bois des iles, cuir de russie. I adore also Coco, Allure and Christale. I like as well Guerlain but older formulations like Jicky, Lheure blueu or Shalimar.

@@mrscluedo7597 It is very moderate but not the weakest one from the family of Les Exclusifs. I get good 6 hours on cooler days. Gardenia id definitely a weaker one.

I'd not have guessed No 22. I bought my eldest a bottle for her 21st and her mama (my ex) laughed and said it was for old people. It isn;t. it is light and classy AF and my daughter smells great when she wears it.

I love roja Danger. Also Amouage reflection man. Diaghilev smells a lot like Guerlain Mitsouko, just juicer and a bit richer.

Mine are 5. Terracotta le parfume(Guerlain) - feels like being near the ocean that I grow up nearby, when wearing this. Love the light in it.
4. Myrrh and Tonka(Jo Malone) - new love inspired by your description of it - my mystery grounding scent.
3. Capri(19-69) - first instant love of a nicheparfume - my happyscent, feels like bubbles of energy.
2. Mon Guerlain Intense - calms my nerves and my mind
1. Surprise.... Cafe Tuberosa😄(Atelier Cologne) - just love all of its parts - the coffee, cigarette, tuberose, vanilla - makes me feel like

I do agree with everything you said about Terre D Hermes but i dont believe that its a Vetiver based fragrance. I love Vetiver but in Terre there is just a hint of it.

I love Scherzo too 🙂 and wow a year, is my year too now. I was thinking about a Clémence fragrance you know and I just don't know what you'd create you have such a fantastic Eclectic taste. I don't know my top 5 would be hard. Maybe Black Opium, Back to Black, Rolling in Love, Hundred Silent Ways, and genuinely by a really small company pocketscents their Raspberry and Vanilla has been one of my favourites from the whole year. And you best be here in a year mate 🙂 by far one of the people I most inspire to be as good as, we are very different in styles but I hope I learn to present all the nerdy fascinating info in a way as fantastically as you do 🙂 and to be as engaging and fun. Enough compliments 😜 but I also know we have to thank Chris for nudging you towards UA-cam and becoming the best really mate 🙂 for me anyways

Hi Clemence, would you happen to know of a niche perfume for women that very much resembles Terre d'Hermes in style and flowers, but instead of oranges and freshness, it is powdery and musc(maybe oud) and stays on the skin for days if you don't shower. Color of perfume is clear.

So what are the iconic scents...... Lumiere Noir was my first niche scent that is really my signature scent. Grand Soir is another one that is a staple for me. Perfect for date nights and high class dinners. Portrait of a lady is one that is essential when I go to a ball during the winter or a night at a casino or any other black tie events. It is funny how one can gravitate towards a scent and either instantly or step by step the scent becomes somehow your personality. My second niche scent was 34 Blv Saint Germain when I'm in Paris I always have to visit the Diptyque store ... I usually have my accommodation in the 6th arrondissement.... Honourable mention is Tempo. I know you like vetiver I love it to and my all time fav special vetiver is Serge Lutens Vetiver Oriental. It would be great if you shared your thoughts about it with us. I have two designer staples too Dior Dune pour homme and YSL Kouros. I dont know the world of lady's fragrances but I can tell you what were the scents I was grown up with what my mother and my godmother considered to be staple scents. My mom has always been a Chanel/ Guerlain lady, I remember the smell of No. 5 when my father would take her out for dinners and balls, and she used something by Chanel which name was Crystal or something like that. On the Guerlain side I remember the smell of Vol de Nuit she still wears it when we have family birthday parties just like when we were kids, after my birth she started wearing her other - to me signature scent Samsara when I have a birthday I always buy her a new bottle of Samsara 😀 oh and when she went to work to the office she used to wear L'heure Bleu. My Godmother's personality is reflected in her signature scent Nahema by Guerlain and when we were kids and used to take long walks in the valley with her she always wore No.19 by Chanel and when she took us to the theatre she used to wear Coco and actually she still does. Oh and my dear old granny when we visited her her whole house smellt like a perfume shop but her staple signature was Fracas I dont remember the brand but you must know it. Keep on doing these great videos you are talented and your french accent is so adorable perfect combination

My favourite is Bvlgari Blv Pour Homme (Alberto Morillas) and then Bvlgari went and discontinued it. Ce n'est pas juste. My second favourite was Bvlgari Blv Notte (also by Alberto Morillas) and then Bvlgari went and discontinued that as well. Mon dieu! I loved the wonderful Guerlain Homme and Homme L'Eau ... which both got discontinued. I'm beginning to think I shouldn't have favourites any more - it doesn't seem to end well!
