About the talk:
As innovators began to use cloud in the early days, networking was a core problem to solve. Using traditional site-to-site VPNs brought on tunnel sprawl, performance constraints, and challenges for operations. As AWS and its customer base continued to grow, so did many new innovations for network infrastructure. In 2018, AWS released Transit Gateway which had an immediate impact on cloud network architecture, performance, and operations. This technical discussion will follow the road to transit gateway and how AWS’s Transit Gateway (and adjacent network services) have evolved, providing the means to construct high-performing networks with a global scale that drive amazing user experience.
