This episode was basically one big Flex by Mayuri. Really liked the animation during his fight with Toshiro, as well as Byakuya vs. the 3 Sternritters.

It's funny how Ichigo, after his super dramatic entrance just show off without defeating a single opponent and rushed back to the royal palace. 😂😂😂
Personally I didn’t care if he didn’t defeat them. When it was first shown in the manga, I was more upset that Ichigo didn’t showcase his power that much. Also Ichigo could totally defeat them, the anime helps indicate how none of the sternritters can really touch him
In this ep, we essentially see that he beat candice, I mean the immediately ran out of "juice" because she had used it all up against ichigo
If Byakuya defeated 3 sternriter effortless, Ichigo could do the same but with the 8 sternriter.

It’s weird plot structure for sure, similar to how there’s two different invasions of Soul Society by Wandenreich.
The extended Byakuya fight was everything I ever wanted from the anime. Hoping he gets the same treatment during the Gérard fight.

I liked Byakuya's engagement against the Sternritters. And as I said before elsewhere Robert looked like a spy exposed and cutting loose. Only it didn't end well. This was a solid adaptation and as always Pepe's death was karma. Now to the Royal Palace and the war's next phase.

Episode 10 is so fast. But Mayuri convinced me that he's one of the strongest Captains in the Soul Society. Also, Byakuya is badass!
I can see why people think that. But Mayuri has lost before. He as strong as his mind and plans allows him to be but I suspect he would have been defeated against a better more experience Captain.
@@babytoshiro7014 na he also oneshoted kenpachi with his shikai to save him agains pernida, mayuri itself is not that strong, but he can beat almost any captain really fast in a fight especially since he already knows them from a long time and even have blood samples of them. I think the captain that can give him more problems is kyoraku.

Really loved the extended/shown byakuya fight against three sternritter! I also loved during the bake only scene Robert frantic need to beat both him and Ichigo to “be by his majesty side” (a light but real foreshadowing to his knowledge of what Yawach feelings towards the Sterrnrotter he let stay behind)!
And still Robert is fine with what'll happen to him. He's literally expecting it to be a reward.
@@Grayson-Winchester well i mean he is desperate to defeat Ichigo and Byakuya to prove himself "worthy" (albeit after he loses he knows that everyone left behind is just energy fodder for Yawach 'chosen ones')
I wonder if he's gonna get any more additions before his death. Because his frightened face during fight with Byakuya is the exact copy of him during Auswallen.
Go even further, if you go back to the episode before this when he saw them go to the Palace, you could see a somber look on his face. Very slight, but with the knowledge of the manga its a nice little detail.
For me the most exciting thing is that for two last cours there’s gonna be only 70 chapters left. Basically one cour worth of new material

The only criticism I have for the episode is that the scene where Hisagi has an internal monologue with himself on how Byakuya defeated 3 Sternritters and he only defeated 1 should’ve been cut. It makes no sense for him to genuinely think he actually beat Pepe in his own thoughts while knowing that Pepe is all fine and well since he’s attacking Byakuya for Pepe-Sama.
Another bleach youtuber explained this, I forget what he fully said, but basically hisagi got hit by the love without noticing, and while "inlove" it most likely altered his thoughts into thinking he defeated one of em
It depends on how you view it
if you are absolutely devoted as Pepe's victims are then all it takes for this to make sense is Pepe telling Hisagi that he won the fight and sent him off
that being said having to find the internal logic for it was unnecessary and the scene should have just been cut so we wouldn't have to deal with that again
frieza's voice actor did such an amazing job
Hope Ichigo gets to do a lot more in cour 3 than he did in the manga
I just thought of something, Yhwach was able to invade to the Royal Palace because ichigo broke through the barriers, yeah? But Rukia, Renji, Byakuya all came atleast an hour before ichigo did & arrived in a similar fashion. So why didnt Yhwach go then instead of waiting for Ichigo to plummet down?
It’s because he was sleeping after absorbing mask, bg9 and cang du
To add to what loivern said, remember that Yhwach also launched his attack on Soul Society after learning Ichigo was in Hueco Mundo and ordered Quilge to stall him there, if he weren't sleeping he most likely would have waited for Ichigo to come down; pretty much confirming Yhwach not wanting to fight Ichigo without the Almighty.
One of my fav episodes so far Rick Ross floating in with the r&b playing to funny. 😂😂

I like that Kensei and Byakuya used Bankai as it fixes the scaling issue the manga had, just as the anime did for the Renji and Mask fight by not having Renji dominate in Shikai first
I hope there is a quick anime only battle between Rukia/Renji and Bazz-B but I'm not expecting it, we don't see Renji's new Bankai much
I feel like we can finally start speculating on Robert's Schrift now that we've seen his abilities since he & BG9 are one of the few (I believe only) Stern Ritter who never had the name of their schrift revealed. I always subscribed to the theory that BG9 is Knowledge
Robert is most likely N - the nimble and BG9 is K - the knowledge (most likely)

Would you be able to quickly discuss the cour 2 intro ? The more I watch it the more I realize it hints at character dynamics and outcomes of certain fights. I feel like I’ve caught a decent amount of hints now but still feel like I’m missing a bunch
The way that Candice, Robert and NaNaNa being defeated are shown differently: NaNaNa is seen lying defeated sideways in the anime rather than lying face up in the manga, Robert is seen lying face up in the anime rather than lying face down in the manga and Candice remained as is.

I was afraid there wasn’t an extension of Byakuya vs 3 sternritters, but I’m glad it happened. Just wish it lasted longer and they cut off a bit more of the Pepe fight

One of the best episodes in terms of animation, soundtrack, pacing and packaging with content.
Every character that was intended to participate in adapted chapters, got his spotlight. Mayuri, Hitsugaya, Byakuya, even Robert, Nanana and Pepe.
Even Hisagi showed up 😊

This is how I prefer the episodes to be paced. We get solid 1:1 adaptations but a streamline here and there to keep the pacing smooth while also giving us additional scenes Kubo wanted for this arc. I'm still sore about the Kenpachi vs Gremmy fight but the last two episodes have been such a treat for me personally.
I liked this episode a lot, it was nice seeing the anime exclusive fight of Byakuya, hope they will add more anime exclusive fights later on
i still can't believe accutrone caught kyoraku off guard then proceeds to lose to byakuya
I feel like that's why byakuya went to bankai on him. Plus to put respect on both shunsui and Robert. Remember Shunsui just lost his father figure.
Accutrone had the complete element of surprise with that attack. Byakuya however was focused, ready to enter Bankai for the boost, and had just came back from the Royal Realm training.
To be fair, Robert took advantage of an opening when Shunsui wanted to run to help Yamamoto. Shunsui wasn't focused, Byakuya was. It's as simple as that
Even though this just prove to show how powerful byakuya is currently.
Byakuya new fight was the highlight of the episode for me that's what we need more of instead of cutting stuff

I think that some of the stuff from the last 3 episodes could've been cut if they really want to add major things to the next 3 eps, but if they really cooked hard, then maybe this pacing is okay

I hope all the Vizards in general get more screentime during that fight. I hope all the Vizard captains use their masks in that fight too

That would be interesting but I think against the Old Man and Aizen its not working. Even against some of the more experience captains who knows Mayur, it's not working.
Byakuya conversation with Mayuri tells me he wouldn't have fallen for it. The more experience captains are very aware of Mayuri.

What about the poem at the end? I was not sure if that was Hisagi but if it is, the poem seems to have hinted at his Bankai. Now idk why there would be that hint, but I wonder if either we will get an anime exclusive of him or something related to the light novel? I think it'd be weird to fit any of this in the anime at this point, but I was very sad that we didnt get more from Hisagi specifically around his bankai in the manga since there was quite a bit of set up for it

Not much was cut this week, overall im satisfied with the episode even the additions, would be more satisfying if we got Robert power explanation but i guess you can't have everything...
The animation was well done, some Byakuya fighting scenes especially. Pace was fast, but i did not feel that they are running from something so it went out good in the end.
8/10 because Pepe was swiftly taken out, and for the additional fight.
You didn't mention one change where Kensei using Bankai vs Pepe as he didn't use it in the Manga.

But other than that fantastic episode amazing fight between Byakuya and the four sternritters.But you know what I think I already know Roberts schrit and it is called the nimble since the dudes vollstandig actually amplified his speed to greater lengths.But what I actually love about this episode was the fact that it not only showed Byakuyas fight with the three sternritters but even should the effectiveness of his on cloak because I actually noticed that his cloak was able to prevent Pepes schrift from affecting him and even Nanana as well when he tried to access Byakuyas spirit energy.8/10🔥🔥🔥

Pepe was such an annoying & GOOFY character. Whenever there’d be screen time about him, my hackles would immediately go up! Overall, this episode was so entertaining & had me on the edge of my seat.
