Thanks for the collab Ed! Great demo of how routers build their map of the network using LSAs.

This is one of the best OSPF video i have seen so far. The way we use the LSA type 1, 2 & 5 to rebuil the network topollogy is just wow!!. Thank you guys for this material. 👊

We'll bring Type 3's into the mix when we do the multi-area version =)

This playlist really helps to understand OSPF fundamentals and basic details. At last good to see you both together because I follow you both since when I decided to do a career in networking.
I really appreciate your efforts and sharing such contents on UA-cam.

Looking forward to this video. I did this years ago at a new job. I'm a bit rusty today. One thing I like to do in a lab is give the OSPF router-id a value of 0.0.0.x (where x is the router number). It makes it easier to understand the OSPF database which can be confusing. Thanks for posting.

    • @PracticalNetworking

This is a fun challenge for sure! And yes, simple router IDs helps reduce some of the complexity.

That will be the topic of the next video =). It's still possible, you'll just need the LSDB from a router in each area.
