UN urges Israel to halt West Bank operation | Russia increases security around Kursk nuclear plant

The UN is urging Israel to halt a major operation in the West Bank immediately, saying the latest escalation risks worsening what is already a 'catastrophic situation'.
The IDF says it's launched a counter- terrorism operation spanning four cities in the northern West Bank and that they have killed 14 militants. Palestinian authorities are reporting 12 deaths, with the UN saying those numbers include children.
Russia is stepping up security around a nuclear plant as Ukraine's forces consolidate their hold on parts of Russian territory.
