My tech does the gel with the top coat over it then cures it. She said that way she doesn't have to worry about getting it on them after 😊
I need some understanding here, if putting the gel coat over the rhinestones, doesn't it cause the rhinestones to lose its actual sparkle?
Yes mines does sadly but the DONT fall but I hate I loose my shine but I’m new to nails
This is the wrong way. So by using builder gel as the "glue" what it does it essentially grap the stones so they will not fall out. Tell her to try another way as losing the sparkle is pointless having them
the best way is to use builder gel to glue them on like in the video, cure, then use a liner brush dipped in gel and go AROUND the rhinestones avoiding the top to create a seal around the stones locking them in, and cure that. That stops anything like hair or fine knits from snagging on the rhinestones. And you dont lose any sparkle bc the top of the stones arent covered with gel
@@mollyoxydo you top coat before adding rhinestones and other embellishments?
Thank you for this video. Im trying to learn and improve my skills in nail art. Im barely a beginner in applying acrylic nails as a profession, im working on getting my license for cosmetology.
I get a full set of acrylics w/ tips , get gel polish applied then i got home & apply my own nail art of gems, decals, or designs w/ nail art liner polish, apply a gel top coat ‼️💅🏻👍🏻
Lol smart smart smart n save urself lots of money❤
How's it going?
Love the simple but bold design ...makes the complete hand so elegant...bravo💙💯🙏
Okay; this is amazing advice! But what is we don’t have the fancy gel? WhAt is the BEST way to help secure and acure the rhinestones once we’re done costing? Are we better off with not so secure clear Base and top coat? Or is it more effective just using glue? That is, if we disregard the matte, gloppy, coating it can leave behind (no matter how hard we all try to avoid that and be neat???..)
Gel will adhere the stones better than just using glue or base/top coat as the gel will cure and set the stones into place. If you prefer to not use gel, using glue will hold the stones in place and then you can top coat around them to secure the base of the stone. Applying them this way will hold the stones, but you may not get the long term wear that you would with gel.
Thanks for the tip
I just wanna ask that what is the difference between hard gel and builder gel I mean where we use these two gel differently
If you are referring to a builder gel in a bottle, we can't make comparisons as we don't test other brands products.
I am using ibd hard gel
They are same I think
can you use nail glue for rhinestones too ?
Yes...you can also use base coat too!
Builder gel also
When you use hard gel to adhere rhinestones is it necessary to add top coat afterwards or will they be perfectly secure without any?
i don’t add top coat because it ruins the look of the rhinestones! i’ve tried hard gel & in my opinion it’s not as good as using glue. i use young nails brush on glue but who knows! maybe this could work better for some people
You don’t need to topcoat.
I think it's personal preference. I prefer to topcoat and take a fine brush to get the topcoat right up to and around my stones, that way they're extra protected from snagging and catching. Especially with all the sweaters I'm wearing right now lol
U never never add a top coat to ur gems
It is a personal preference. We don't recommend using a top coat over the stones as this can take away their shine/dimension, but we do like to use a small amount of top coat around the base of the stone to seal it to the nail.
Great video thank you.
Wow amazing love it
Won’t it leave a sticky residue? Also can you do this over gel polish that’s applied on top of acrylic nails or will it crack because it’s hard gel on top of soft?
You would top coat the nail but use a small brush to top coat around the stones so it doesn’t get on them. Also, you can use hard gel on top of an enhancement. It won’t crack.
canyou flash cure these or does it have to go under a full cure lamp?
If you are using a little hard gel to place one stone at a time, then yes you could flash cure after each one. You would still need to fully cure at the end.
Where can i find the gel ?? Cause the rhinestomes on my mask always fall, im sick of that
Our clear sculptor synergy gel (hard gel) is available on our website, youngnails.com.
Can someone cool answer my question pls😢😊
I thought top coat and rhinestones will work and found out the hard way on social media but luckily didn't try. Do you need thick gel for rhinestones? And it doesn't work with top coat?
There are lots of options for applying stones. If you are just applying small rhinestones, a good gel top coat will work fine. You may need to add a little extra right at the base of the stone to seal around the edge. Some people also like to use the glue in the tube to apply the stones and then top coat around them. If you are applying large stones, we do recommend using the thicker gel since this will have a little more durability.
@@youngnailsinc Awesome thanks so much. You guys are talented 👍🏻

Can the top coat be used with rhinestones?
ua-cam.com/video/Y7tlfS7_0Ms/v-deo.html
Do you do another top coat on top of that?
You can carefully apply some around the base of the rhinestones where it meets the nail but you wouldn't want to apply top coat on top of them. You will lose the effect.
😮🤗😱
😊
How to dry rhinestone gel without UV light..?
If you are using our synergy gels to adhere rhinestones then you have to cure with a curing light. Gel doesn’t dry by itself.
how do I make the rhinestones not look so bulky and uneven ?is there a technique? because when I see someone like "I want rhinestones" they just put them on side by side and they don't even look that good... idk how else to describe it
If you are using too much gel or glue, this can make them look a little bulky. Only use enough to be able to press the stones on & with a liner brush, make sure the gel seals around the base of the stone. If they seem uneven, you may just need to take a little more time setting them in to get them placed correctly. If you do need more time, it's best to use gel to adhere them since the glue will set fast.
Can u do a video on rhinestone designs for French tips?

@@youngnailsinc thank you but what is that stone picker upper thing called because I really need one I just don’t know what they are called.
@@izabellahernandez1527 I just search on Amazon and you can type in rhinestone grabber tool and options pop up.
How are you getting the rhinestones to stick to the tool?
It's a wax tip so it sticks.
🥰
The rhinestones don’t slide
