My poor avo tree is root bound and I need to repot it asap. It’s dying on me so I think it’s most definitely root bound. It’s been in same pot far too long and not a big pot. Same thing happened to my bacon avo and soon as I repotted it it come good 👍
Do u have a video on how to fix the root bound tree? Trimming the roots Trimming the branches? When is the best time to do it? I have a couple trees that I need to fix . I also have a tree in a large whiskey barrel and I know in a couple years I'll have to do the same but that will be a challenge.
One of my biggest struggles in my backyard “nursery” is trying to manage watering everything accordingly. Like i have potted tomatoes, peppers, random fruit trees, & everything in between. If i only have 1 faucet to connect a timer to, what would be the best way to water about 100 different plant pots with different needs. Like is there anything out there that i could use to customize watering other than the main watering timer that connects to the faucet?
Thanks Alan Loving your videos. Have you done one on how to fix a root bound tree? Also I’d like to put a rootbound weeping ficus tree that is in a too big pot in a smaller pot- how much can I prune off the roots and can I do that ?
How do you keep your silk floss trees. alive in summer? Mine got burnt to a crisp this year and it still died despite me giving it shade cloth, it was too late
Nothing special, just water. We don't shade ours. They do get a bit crispy but as long as we keep up with the watering, they make it just fine, every year.
@@NMW80 Because most plants do not grow up until fully rooted in the container they're in. Putting them in a bigger pot to start with will delay growth. Also the bottom of the new container may take too long to dry in between watering since there are no roots at the bottom to dry the soil. I like plastic pots, use what works best for you.

Check my video on the rainpoint water timer. This is easy to do as long as you use same potting mix in all your plants.

Why do we need to repot into so many pots? Why not just plant into a big pot?
Do you recommend pots made of fabric so it can air prune?
