Ah, my home town of twenty years ago. My wife and I only lived in Oxford for four years, while she was studying. I worked where those large flash apartment buildings beside the canal are, which was the large Lucy's factory when we were there. I preferred the factory, concrete and steel, full of friends. It's hard not to fall in love with this town, and I visit it regularly via internet. Walton Well bridge was our means of visiting Port Meadow, and just the place to picnic with friends this time of year. George would love it, so you two would as well. Thanks for the memories, take care.
Beautiful narrow canals.
Thanks! I needed that.
Sorry it’s been so long. Will try and release them twice weekly from now on.
Hello! I wanted to ask - how easy is this route for beginners? All the locks seem to be manned? Thank you!
Does anyone have an idea why lift bridges are always pivot opposite the tow path? makes no sense.
