- “Verse-jumping” into an alternate life in which Evelyn and her IRS nemesis, Deirdre Beaubeirdra (Jamie Lee Curtis), are in love - and have wieners for fingers - rigid Evelyn is forced to rethink her worldview.
“It’s such a stupid idea. A 5-year-old has probably thought of this - oh, they look like hot dog fingers! The real difference is that we took the time to be like, in a world of hot dog hands, what is the beautiful story there?” Love, of course.
Universe in which her auditor, the woman she hates the most of the world, is her lover, and their genetics have evolved in the way in which their mating ritual is so foreign and grotesque to her that she literally wants to gag from it. “To take that absurd image and try to force her to see the beauty in it was a really fun challenge.”

This movie deserved to win an Oscar Mayer.
People think this subplot is not very relevant.... this is connected to her daughter. She experienced being gay. She finally experiences how her daughter feels like being gay. It is one step of accepting her daughter on who she is.

Even the Raccacoonie verse too. That verse teaches Evelyn empathy.
She also begins to have enhanced toes and feet to compensate for the lack of practical fingers which saves her life at the final fight since her arms get restrained.
This subplot won Curtis the Oscar over Bassett in WFBP.

Jamie Lee Curtis crying watching the movie and putting her hotdog fingers around Michelle Yeoh while wiping her tears with her other hotdog fingers. 😂 Something I’d never thought I’d see in a movie. Lmao!
Jamie Lee Curtis really acted out every role in this movie amazingly. She cares more for the acting than the glamour.
She has my vote for Dr Kureha.
And in an award nominated movie no less lol
And they both won Oscars for it

I seriously didn't expect this (nor the Racacoonie) storyline in this movie lol but it was worth the trauma.

Yes. More so Funny and Sci-fi. You should definitely check it out if you can. It'll be super confusing in the first half, but it all comes together beautifully at the end, I think.

When she’s tuned into other universes Evelyn can take aspects from the different parts of herself and bring them into the present universe. She tunes into sausage universe Evelyn so her superpower in the real world is have no bones in her hands so the handcuffs can come off.

You can still watch at theater. Actually you can watch at AMC this weekend (and next week until 08/10 Wednesday) for only $5 as AMC appears to having a promotion for this film.
Don't feel too bad, I just saw it last night and had an absolute laugh fest with me and my wife! The reference to 2001 space Odyssey, all the other small subplots and the butt plug fight scene made me belly laugh so hard I about threw up!!! Not to mention I'm a huge space nerd so I kind of knew a little bit about the different dimensions and whatnot, at Points my wife had alittle trouble understanding what was going on... but to be far I'm sure all of us did at some point in the movie. It was a true comedy/ Sci fi masterpiece, but it also just makes you think how small and silly us humans really are! I'm going to have to watch it again soon, it was just so damn funny and good!
