Sir, I am an online student of SPM. I follow your DNPA and also make my own notes from it. Yet I am unable to score well in the weekly current affairs test. Most of the asked questions seem very alien. The ones that seem familiar have confusing options(for me).I don't know what I might be lacking or where I require more work. Day by day I'm losing confidence because of this. Could you please tell me how to study current affairs effectively so that I can score well?

Try to read the PDF of the weeky test series. It will help you remember better and also help you see the DNA from an exam perspective

This happens to almost everyone who start their preparation. Your aim in tests should not be to attempt each and every question with accuracy.First you should attempt the ones in which you are very sure. Then you have to find the ones where you are 50-50 or 60-40. Try finding out the odd option and eliminate that option. Option elimination still works for most of the questions. After you are done with your tests, analyse your performance from the solution pdf and try to find out the reasons why you ticked a particular answer? what was the thought process behind it? Read the solutions and learn from it. Keep giving tests without thinking much about marks. Trust me you will easily clear prelims. Its just a matter of time.

2 purpose of test according to sir
1. To develop temperament
2. To give additional information that sir deliberately didn't add in the daily news paper analysis since it is not feasible to add everything.
These may be the only reasons why you are not scoring high. Don't be focused on the result , pay more attention to the process. Best of luck.

Sure. But let me know have you tried revising through monthly magazine? These days I am doing analysis in detail for mains. So boardwork also becomes very bulky and time taking.
