I believe there were 11 republicans who received SBF donations, but they returned that money. Every last dollar.
After they found out it came from dark money from Bankman Fried, all was given back. The Republicans wanted nothing to do with it.

He has said he also made large contributions to Republican political candidates, but did so in a way that hid the donations to republicans so they didn’t know where it was coming from…

part of it was the market crash, and he owned his own stock. So it wasn't like madoff in the sense that Madoff invested, lost money in like the first year, and from then on every penny he gave went into madoff's funny money. SBF spent his share of funny money, but SBF did invest the majority of the money
madoff was running the scam from almost year 1 After year 1, Madof invested around 1% of the investments. SBF was still investing, he just acted like he could trim as much of the fat as he liked. So SBF was investing somewhere above 50% of the money in assets. So its not exacty the same.

I'm glad to hear someone besides me and FOX News are aware of that. They used to be the only Outlet that even mentioned it but they haven't in more than a year. Maybe now that Sammy's trial is done they'll start again, although I don't think it would accomplish anything unless it can be linked to something else nefarious the Dums have done (and there's plenty of THAT).
