I actually think that Cassidy and other missing children would be scared of William.. Like, Cassidy is probably around 6-7 y.o. as others (the books)
She's around 11-12 in my au, and she knows he can't hurt them now so she feels a need to protect the others since they're all younger. She was also awake for most of her death, while the others died quickly
