@@shekinah873 Mary is not dead she was assumed into heaven body and soul that is why there is no known place in this world with her remains. Yet we know where ALL the disciples are buried. If there was a site here on earth with her remains trust me it would be the most important shrine for Catholics on earth based on how much we love her. She is the queen mentioned in Revelation 12. The vision seen by John happened long after her assumption into heaven. This is based on the historical chronology of the early church. Also, contrary to what many non catholics think, Mary doesn't intercede for us to the Father, the only mediator to the Father is our Lord Jesus son of God. Remember that Jesus is also the son of Mary. Mary therefore is able to intercede for us to her son, the second person of the trinity. Jesus is still her beloved son. Personally, I have testimonies about difficult situations in my life where I literally cried out to our Mother Mary for help and she delivered 100+%. Remember at the foot of the cross, in His last words on the cross, Jesus bequeathed us His mother through John. She is the new Eve, the mother of life for all those who believe in Her son Jesus. She was also the first Christian because she was the first who believed in Jesus even before his birth. She bore him, nursed him at her breast, she literally lived with a big piece of heaven beside her all the days of her son's life here on earth and she continues to do so in heaven. That is just how close she is with Him. Lastly, none of us here on earth can ever love Mary more than Jesus Himself because His love is perfect and ours can never be perfect. Also, he chose her to be his mother and because He loved her more than any other human can, any honour given to Mary, only serves to honour and glorify Him more because He chose her first and then He gave her to us.
