I'm always coming back to this scene, to me it's like something from Shakespeare.......ever since I first saw it in the 1980's.....one of my favorites...... THANKS for posting this. .
I remember seeing this as a 10 year old and thinking to myself, "What kind of crazy shit is this??" Now that I'm an adult (though I get disagreements about that) I realize just how funny Pussycat really is. This is really what you'd term "an adult comedy". Kids will never appreciate the genius mayhem Woody Allen is creating in this. Funnier than What's Up, Tiger Lily (main character rubs neck after being knocked unconscious with a karate chop): "Ohhh, my knee!" Another: character puts down on table a diagram of a house. "This is his house" Cohort: "You mean he lives in that little piece of paper?"
it was around 1969 and my brother and myself were staying at our friend Steve williams house, our parents were having the craic up in the Earl Percy (pub) my brother and Steve were playing monoply, and they would'nt let me play, but the tele was on and i found, What's New Pussy Cat ! my life has never been the same since XX
