We give them a lot of chick grit (small grit that you can get from tractor supply) when they are in the brooder, free choice the first few weeks, but after the brooder, we didn't provide any grit. They scratched the ground and ate pebbles. We might do grit on the regular this year, to see if it improves our feed to weight conversion rate.
Cory Loveland we gave a lot away. Our first batch of 300 were for our families, and we saved 50 of those to give away. We went around to family and friends who had larger families, and gave them a chicken or two. The second batch that we processed about a month later was mostly sold before before we processed because of those birds we gave away. We sold about 200 of the last batch of 300, keeping 100, so we would have some to give away over the winter to generate more sales for next year, and some to sell.
On a FB homestead group I saw someone post where they put Bungie cords to hold the chicken in, on top.
Love this channel. Keep up the great work.
Thanks a ton!

You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
Great tip. 2 stainless cones are $60! I now have a game plan so thank you.
What kind of Grit do you give the Chickens?

How do you market your birds to sell them?

Cory Loveland I'll be making a video about this in about a month or so.
