Hi, I Need your help, I have a 24-volt UTL Gamma plus and the setup is brand new, and I think, there is something wrong with the UTL Gamma plus. I have set the Main reconnect volt c11V (22V for 24v system). but even before the battery reaches to reconnect volt it switches over to the Main. and usually with my system, when the battery reaches 24.5 it connects to the Main, the current mode setup to PCU, and grid charging is off. Any idea what could be the issue?

Get the software or motherboard card updated to latest version by customer care. It should be covered in warranty.

@ 9:19 you were saying that by pressing 3 times will switch ON & OFF grid charging. I think that is not for grid charging, its for DG mode. Right? You can see 3 lines with gaps, means press 3 times with gap. The top line is continuous for 3 secs may be... I mean you need to hold that button without gap to enable or disable the grid charging. Am i right or wrong 🤔?

The symbol of 3 lines with gaps shows that LED will blink in that manner for DG mode.
The button behavior I have explained is correct.

Thanks for the great tutorial. I have a question. In my place, load shedding is rare, so I don't want to invest in a large battery bank. My primary purpose will be to use solar power during the day. For that, I plan to install four 120 watts 12 volt panels (480 watts total). For emergency backup, I will install a small battery like a 100 AH battery. In that case, the solar charging current has to be set to 10 A. But my 480 watt panels are capable of delivering upto 40 A. Now my question is, how the inverter manages the 480 watt of solar power? Will it charge the battery at 10 A (that is 120 Watt) and use the rest 30 A (that is 360 watt) to convert to 230 V ? Or the charge controller will take only 10 A from solar panels without pushing anything to the inverter output. Here I am not using the gridline at all.

If you Brought a Proper PCU like the one above, Option 1 is valid.
If its a dumb inverter with Charge controller, Option 2 will happen.

I have a gamma plus 1kilo inverter...with 2 batteries of 150tubler solar battery (excide company)...I also have 1350 watt solar panels of microtek n luminous.plain 10mm copper AC wire length-15mtr load in summer-500watt & But don't give 24hrs backups....why it's not giving backup for full day???can u explain me the reason......please...gopal samanta from barrackpore.......

Naturally it wont, your Load is Roughly 50A, which will consume your 300A battery bank under 6 hours. More like 4 hours practically. I have explained load calculations here-

I am setting up UTL gamma + 12V with 150ah 12V Solar Tubular single battery & 400W x 2 Solar panels in SMT mode. During calibration procedure should select 15V(boost) which is by default for TUB even if Boost Chg. disable ? Regarding watts of SPV what will be correct Amp range for charging battery which to choose between 11- 40Amp ? & what will be to select for charging battery from mains between 3 - 15Amp ? and charging frequency set to 60hz ? Finally set voltage reconnect range at 11.8 . Please provide recommend settings?

good evening. My utl gamma plus 1kva12 volt pcu low cut voltage setting is 11 volt, but when battery voltage is going to 11.8 volt then pcu shows low voltage and beep sound arise. Please note that My pcu is in SMT mode and mains unavailable.

Gamma motherboards are known to have some calibration inaccuracies. Many people have gotten those cards replaced in warranty.

Gamma is known to be inaccurate. If it's in warranty, get the motherboard replaced to latest version. It fixes many problems.

3. 205w panel (12v) no 2
So total 990w (can I connect this all panel in parellel)
Doubt 2( i have utl Gamma plus 12v 1kw solar inverter)
Is it possible to connect 2 battery in parellel?

If i have disabled grid charging and my battery discharged at night to reconnect voltage that is 11.8v will it charge battery by grid?

No. It will simply run load by grid.

Sir i have an another question
If DG mode on will it charge battery from mains if DG source is unavailable?
Is there any problem if i enable DG mode always even if mains present as sometimes i turn on generator

@@jayanarayan DG mode just lowers the tolerance and allows a wider frequency to charge the battery. You can keep it On if you don't have any sensitive appliances connected.

UTL Gama inverter copper winding he kya?, Aur mere pas exide flat plate non solar battery he wo is inverter pe kam me le sakata hu kya?, Jab ki mere ghar me main gird supply nahi he, me 5kw ka solar system lagay he.🙏

2. Any Lead acid battery will work.

Sir mere pas 180 watt ka 6 panel hai 9 amp each panel amp hai max sir 6 panel ko parallel connection ker sakte hai jisme max amp 54 amp a sakta hai kyu ki do panel series connection kerne per voc 46.26 volt ho jata hai please batia sir Thankyou

You can put them in Parallel no issues. Use a Very thick wire. 16Sqmm,

Hello sir...I have 2kb gamma plussolar ups n 1750watt of solar panels(mixed panels of small of 100watt n big of 165watt& 1panel of 350watt)...2batteries of 150hp are connected in series..can I connect one more 150hp battery in parallel????it's a Lil urgent...if u give ur response I will be highly obliged...
